Khan Kabab Peshawari in Saskatoon is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Pakistani cuisine. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The restaurant strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively — it’s a place that feels comfortable for a casual meal but special enough for a night out.
Now, the food — wow! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The kebabs were incredibly juicy, tender, and seasoned with a perfect blend of spices that made each bite unforgettable. The Peshawari-style dishes are clearly made with care and tradition; you can taste the authenticity in every morsel. The naan was soft, fresh, and had just the right amount of char, and the chutneys and sauces that accompanied the dishes elevated the flavors even more. Even the appetizers were a delight — each one beautifully presented and full of flavor.
The service deserves a special mention. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about making sure we had a fantastic experience. They provided helpful suggestions and were always there when we needed something without being intrusive.
What really stood out to me was the consistency and attention to detail — everything from the presentation of the dishes to the flavors themselves shows a high level of pride and expertise. Whether you’re a fan of spicy food or prefer milder flavors, there’s something on the menu for everyone, and it’s all executed flawlessly.
Overall, Khan Kabab Peshawari is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. If you want to enjoy authentic Pakistani cuisine with amazing service in a welcoming environment, this place should be at the top of your list. I can’t recommend it enough, and I can’t wait to return to try even more of their...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: So, I recently decided to give the restaurant a try again based on my previous positive experience quite a while ago. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement. I ordered the chapli kebab and lamb shank karahi. What I got was an overcooked kebab that was quite small and didn't justify the cost of $13 plus tax and the lamb shank piece also barely enough, given the cost (pictures attached). I paid over $40 for these two items which I feel is not justified, given I could have gotten good quality and quantity food elsewhere for similar or less cost.
I'm not sure if it's a one off or if the quality has declined over the years but definitely not what made for a pleasant experience. Moreover, my friends went for the pickup and they found the owner to be dismissive. He was on the phone and gestured to my friend to read the prices on the menu above, all the while still on the phone. Definitely not the epitome of hospitality or professionalism. I wanted to support this restaurant but I won't be going back.
Original (about two years ago): As soon as I heard of this Peshawari restaurant, I went right over. I ordered the chapli kebab. To say that the portion size was huge is an understatement. I was able to have it for two meals. And it was quite delicious. The owners were friendly and welcoming, and quite dedicated to their craft. All in all, a must...
Read moreUpdated February 25, 2023 Went to this eatery for the 3rd time. This is one of our favourite restaurants in Saskatoon.
Menu is updated with few more traditional dishes. We tried their signature dish Chapli Kebab and chicken karahi. Both times were super delicious.
Staff was friendly as before service was fast.
Place was busy at around 7pm.
Updated on Dec 18, 2022 Went for lunch today. This time we ordered Only Chapli Kebab, which is their specialty. We loved the kebabs last time as well and this time was no difference.
Atta Ulla Yousafzai was very kind to let me shoot the video of making of kebab in his kitchen.
Went for dinner to this Pakistani restaurant in Saskatoon. Ordered one order of Chappli Kebabs (beef patties) Chicken Karahi, Beef Rosh (stew), Nan, Green Tea and Falooda (kind of ice cream) food was very tasty. My rating as follows Chappli Kebab and Chicken Karahi 5 stars Rosh 4 stars Nan and Green Tea 3 stars Falooda 2 stars. I wish they decorated the hall in more traditional style. One floor sitting dinning area is impressive. Place was busy and only one server was struggling with all the orders but still serving with smile. Paid about $71 with tip for all the items in pictures. Definitely will be back when in Saskatoon again. Must try this place. Very authentic...
