A&W Canada — Restaurant in Saskatoon

Very clean. Very nice and polite, smiling staff. Delicious food. One sad thing though was that since the weather was so nice outside we wanted to eat on the patio but sadly had to get it “to go” in a paper bag. This meant we couldn’t have our root beer in the frosty, -15°C mug and instead had to drink it out of a paper cup. “Company Policy”. I can see the point to this because who wants to have to clean up broken glass mugs on the cement or loose them to customers. So we ate outside anyway. Halfway through our meal our drinks were getting warm so I went in for some ice. “Sorry we don’t have ice”. I guess you wouldn’t need ice if I had a nice frosty mug but I couldn’t get a frosty mug due to the eating outside, so warm root beer it was. Other than that small problem, the food was delicious. Most of the coupons on the A and W app don’t work here or at any other location in Saskatoon. A and W is enticing customers to download their app only to not allow coupons on the app to work in the entire City of Saskatoon. This is so ridiculous that I have to download their app, get spam emails from them and then pay full price when the app rejects the coupon at my chosen location. This is shameful.

Edit. This happened a day after I left them a review of not accepting online coupons. Went to A and W today and ordered 4 chicken bacon wraps and only got two from the drive through. They took my money and didn’t give me the food. This is absurd. Don’t even have the energy to drive all the way back and fight them...

Sept 18, 2025, 9pm staff. Id give 0 stars if I could. My daughter found a whole ass hair at the bottom of her burger circled perfectly ontop of the pickles. And NO, it was not one of ours, I pulled it out slightly for the photo. If they tell you to park to the side so you're not in view of the windows, just get a refund right there. I'm quite certain they do this on purpose. My husband approached them and basically just said "refund " so yes, im certain they knew what it was about.
