Smitty's Restaurant & Lounge - Saskatoon Lawson Heights — Restaurant in Saskatoon

We made the unfortunate decision to go to Smitty's in Lawson heights mall in Saskatoon. It started out great. Our server came & took our food & drink orders. We got both & never saw her again. We tried flagging her down. We called out to her everytime she took beer to the next table playing darts - We know she heard us but didn't come!??! Our food wasn't touched as I had melted plastic on mine & my friend received the completely wrong order. The manager kept flying by from between the restaurant and bar so we tried getting his attention. Finally SO FRUSTRATED we put our jackets on & stood beside the table waiting still. So with my loudest, clearest voice I said, "it's almost like they want us to do a dine & dash." Well the manager heard that! He was there with our bill in less than a minute! He looked at our food & asked if we wanted a to go box... what?!!? There wasn't one bite out of either plate! I told him what the situation was & he shrugged & asked again if we wanted a box! I said, "no we want them taken off the bill." He said we better pay or he's calling the police! We almost wanted him to as this is now so preposterous having no service and melted plastic food & an altogether wrong order (maybe hot hamburger with fries not beef dip with rings) but we had already been there for just over two hours & we were hangry! So we paid & left NEVER to return but a promise to tell...

I am surprised they are still in business, especially after the service we got the other day. I had the clubhouse ($16 and if you want cheese, an extra $2) for a SANDWICH! I had a dime sized chunk of bone in my turkey and believe I cracked a tooth. Not even a minute after pulling the bone out of my mouth, the waitress came and asked how everything was. I mentioned it to her and she went to tell the kitchen. She came back a few minutes later and said the turkey comes like that from their supplier. I was there visiting some older ladies that were friends of my moms and hadn't seen them for years. We were given one small carafe of coffee and one carafe of water to share with no more service after we received our bills. No apologies or discount for cracking a tooth, no refills, not even coming around to see if we wanted anything else. The manager (at least he pretended to be the manager) was even wandering around and didn't bother to check on us! ...

Will never eat here again!!! Traveled to Saskatoon for doctor. Family of 4 with one appetizer to share. $180.00. Do the math, it’s not $20 a plate. The first server we had was the day shift, she was older. Supper nice and awesome! Friendly to everyone around us. Second server brought out food in stages. So one was waiting, about 5 min. I had the au jus. Bun was not toasted, and bottom bread was all mush, did not eat. Comes with horseradish, they forgot, I reminded and never got. Wife ordered the small steak as we don’t ever eat out as we can’t afford to. She could not chew it, and we make our own jerky. Paid bill, went to bathroom as it’s a long drive out, owner says I did not pay all the bill as it was in two for some reason. We went to Montana’s in Regina and ordered to same food, $60.00 and way better. A Salad, chicken fingers, wings (6), and pop drinks should not cost an additional $120.00.
