Good Earth Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Saskatoon

We stopped by Goodearth today while wandering Lawson Heights mall - I've been getting a lot of Apple Butter Latte ads lately, so we had to try it out! We were greeted by a lovely woman who was extremely knowledgeable on the product and gave me the opportunity to try the apple butter syrup prior to ordering to ensure I'd enjoy my beverage! I had the Apple Butter latte iced and the chocolate-berry scone, my partner had the iced coffee with vanilla syrup. The coffee and pastry were DELICIOUS! It was mid-afternoon on a Friday so business was slow, we had the opportunity to chat with the woman who took our order for a while, sharing stories of our recent move to Saskatchewan, Saskatoon traffic, and upcoming vacations! The ambiance in the cafe is absolutely lovely, the product is good, and the service was excellent! I'm so happy to hear they are expanding! We will definitely be back...

wanted a coffee for my morning errands, so i went in and waited a bit because the barista was busy doing something else, when she came out to take my order i didn’t even get a greeting, just a “what can i get you” in the flattest voice ever. i’ve worked a job like hers so i know it can be tiring but a greeting would at least be nice.. i ignored her lack of greeting and asked politely for a medium latte with vanilla syrup, she didn’t say anything just typed it in and told me my total, so i paid and waited. when she handed me my coffee, i said “thank you very much” and she just said “yup” and turned around. this was an old lady with a pixie haircut, maybe she’s just having a bad day but i don’t think i will be back. when i tasted my coffee it was super strong, almost tasted burnt, and the ice was already melted as well....

Stopped by right at closing we didn’t know there was no signage from the mall walking in . Not a hi can I help you or a sorry we are just closing up . Didn’t make eye contact nothing we left didn’t get anything not a bye come back. Didn’t feel welcoming at all regardless . I won’t go out of my way to go back

Here’s my expectations - a nice gesture of just saying hey is there something we can help with we’re just closing up. We are understanding people and I would have left no problem it’s the fact that not one peep or indication of wanting to help. Also my brothers first time to that mall. He would have been happy to ask for a recommendation if we had been served but there was none. I’m just...
