Starbucks — Restaurant in Saskatoon

I ordered a drink and it never came. I knew there was some sort of mistake and I waited patiently for maybe 15 minutes before trying to say something. As I started talking the one with the glasses and long braid INTERUPTED ME to lie to my face and tell me that it got busy and that mine was behind some other orders. I told her people have come in and left with their orders since the time I paid for my order. She asked for the name and I told her I wasn't asked for a name. Then the girl who made my drink checked and it had been put in the drive thru lane. I get that mistakes happen and don't want to exaggerate at all but this was a really disappointing experience. There's no benefit to lying to customers. We have eyes. We know when you're being dishonest. My drink was lukewarm by the time I got it. It was your mistake just be honest and own it. The staff that are incredibly kind and personable. I had a bad day and went through this drive-thru to grab a quick coffee. I have been to this drive through quite a bit since it opened and not once have I been disappointed or the staff been anything but exceptional. Not only were the staff quick, especially considering how new the location was and how complex being a barista can be, but the Woman working the drive-thru was kind enough to chat with me for the minute or two it took to get my coffee. An hour or so later I realized that she drew a beautiful sunflower/sun-like design on my cup that honestly made my entire day. Compassion and empathy for customers isn't something staff are paid/trained to do, but this sure turned my day around. Thank you! This is the best Starbuck in Saskatchewan. The amazing cheerful spirit has us coming back daily. We love receiving cute little notes on our drinks! We have a toddler that loves to wave Hello to the friendly baristas when ever we come in. The staff pay close attention to detail and automatically put a sleeve on my drink for me now which was super helpful this morning as I forgot to ask! This location also takes pride in cleanliness; something lacking at other locations in Saskatchewan.
