Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant (51st Street) — Restaurant in Saskatoon

Yesterday I placed a small order totalling $15.67 with Taj Mahal on 51st through Uber Eats. I immediately cancelled the order, then immediately placed a new order, adding a second entree & removing a fried rice, totalling $19.79. But Uber Eats charged me for BOTH orders! And Uber Eats refuses to refund me or credit my account $15.67, the cost of the cancelled order. So I sheepishly asked Taj Mahal if they would be willing to extend a kindness and fulfill my little cancelled but paid-for order, & that I would “eat” the fees & come pick it up myself & at their convenience! I was disappointed when they too said NO. Soooo I’ve deleted my Uber Eats App. And despite being a repeat customer of Taj Mahal, my last order with them turned out to be my all time last order with them :( I WILL however continue to patronize SHARMA CURRY EXPRESS & SWEETS on 8th Street!!! Their Indian food is SO authentic & delicious, they are SO welcoming & friendly, & they have on more than one occasion slipped a surprise sweet in with my order. The food was exceptionally tasty,we ordered the dinner for 2,$57.99 plus taxes,it was enough food for two with lots of leftover fur one person maybe two,the butter chicken was tasty the rice was perfect,we had flavoured fries which were so surprisingly good,the flat bread was done so nicely with great flavour,we also had curry chicken;I didn’t try it so don’t know the taste,we had fish that was deep fried with a sauce which was absolutely delicious,I thought the prices were kinda high but all in all it was worth it,but the next time I’d have the cheaper options as they had a 8.99 rice and butter chicken special and a vegetable burger deal,I enjoyed the food so much more than I thought I would,one down fall of the restaurant is that the seating is limited; it’s similar to a subway restaurant with a few tables,that’s why I thought it was...

I recently went there, to get some burgers for lunch and also wanted to try out other dishes. It was a terrible mistake to go there, I had to wait for 40 minutes before I got any thing. Not only there was way too much wait time. The food was not even edible. I had to stuff my mouth and ruin my taste buds. I would've left a review lower than this, if it was possible. In front of me there was a delivery guy who was waiting for 20 some minutes before they got the online order. They are very inefficient, doesn't have any management whatsoever. I don't know how the shop stays open.
