Wok Box - Blairmore — Restaurant in Saskatoon

We stopped in for a quick meal in the evening. We had been here from out of town, a couple of years back and it was decent, for a quick meal. This time (Aug '23), we ordered the butter chicken and Chicken teriyaki bowl in regular size. Unfortunately for over 30$ for two of us, what was served was terrible. A few pieces of old, tough chicken in a tasteless butter chicken sauce for $13.95 forced me to take it back and ask for something else, which they then prepared. The teriyaki bowl my wife was having (again for $13.95) was very similar, it came with old tasting chicken, very few pieces in the box, and full of sauce at the bottom of the box below the rice. We could have poured it in a glass. The replacement bowl for me was a little better, noodles and shrimp, but overall, the food is awful here, unfortunately. There is little in the way of quality control, little value and just overall not good. The service was accommodating and friendly, however, if its about food, this place is not to be...

We had a unpleasant experience with ordering Wok Box for delivery that turned out very well in the end. The courier who delivered our supper from Wok Box when questioned regarding the hour wait time for our food became angry. Still holding the food. Shouting he is done, amongst angrily rambling, stomping away, and proceeding to remain parked @ house for a length of time. Scary. We contacted. the staff @ Wok Box who called the courier, & handled the situation with grace. Even got the driver to leave.They promised free meals. Next time we come in. 2 weeks later I went in & as promised both. meals were free with a apology. We never intially paid for our order. Very good...

November 15, 2019: I just had the best Mongolian Beef and Broccoli I have ever had from a Wok Box -or anywhere for that matter! The food was fresh, the flavouring balanced, and the amount of beef and broccoli very generous. I also tried some of the Tokyo Beef Poutine and it too was very tasty. I was very impressed. The cook at the Betts Ave location this evening has a flair for making ordinary taste extraordinary! Sorry there are no pictures; I didn’t plan to review until I tasted how good it was...and then I couldn’t...
