Water Tower Pub — Restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie

Just experienced probably the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. First time I have ever felt compelled to leave a review after a visit. If negative stars for service was an option that would be it. Had the least pleasant waitress I’ve ever seen. 35 minutes after walking in we were able to get a drink. And tried to order food at the same time but our waitress literally walked away from us mid sentence. And then followed up by throwing our drinks across the table at us and storming off after finally getting the drinks delivered. Our second round (an hour and a half after arriving) showed up with dirty glasses (lipstick stains all over the glasses) and were sent back. On a positive note the food was reasonable and live entertainment was great. However, all in all an extremely disappointing experience. And no care from the staff to correct the poor service. It was actually entertaining to count how many tables had to actually go up to the bar to order new drinks. Absolutely...

Only a double bed in the room closest to the doors. Poor hubby slept with a foot of his legs off the bottom. Restaurant was expensive and not the best food. Had to put the truck into 4 wheel drive all 4 times I tried to back out of the parking spaces because the lot was not plowed. Steps were cleared but had to walk in unplowed snow to the doors. Someone will get hurt walking in that much snow. Staff was friendly but not accommodating when I asked for a room with a queen size bed. She said they don't have queen beds only 2 doubles and it was on the second floor. Husband has heart issues and couldn't walk far. Handy Cap room needs two beds at least or a queen bed. Won't be returning there...

The intrusive video screens were left on, when the band was playing. Also we were not informed until we checked out that a cover charge ($5) would be added to our bill, however I would have willingly paid much more, the band was great! If a cover is charged, the band should be the focus of the venue, and having six or more vid screens with different channels on each is not conducive to giving full attention to the band. It was highly distracting...
