Not a place I recommend and will not be back after many stays! We arrived to our very expensive suite to only be told there was no elevator. My wife just had surgery and we had a friend in the wedding party who has a handicap and had to walk up the stairs several times with a walker. Their attempts at fixing the issue was to move us to a much smaller room with no compensation. We could not use a smaller room as we required the extra bed for our son. When I explained my wife just had surgery and now I had to carry all our luggage up 2 flights of stairs the guy at the front desk just looked at me and said ya sorry. With no calls to get help for me either. My wife later called to speak to a manager who also said the same that they were not going to offer any compensation for the mishap and their only solution was to move us to another floor with a smaller room and 1 king bed. She claimed it was our responsibility to know whether or not the room was handicap accessible! The website makes no indication it isn't handicap accessible and no one mentioned it while reserving either, but I guess fits well with their bottom shelf customer service. The next issue- the room was very dirty, there were marks and stains on the sofa and chair and when we noticed tables weren't even wiped my wife called front desk to have someone clean it. And by clean it I mean a staff brought us a hand cloth to wipe ourselves. When we asked if she at least had a cleaning spray to wipe it with she said no and walked away. Cleaning staff- We had cleaning staff come in for 1 day as we were only there for 2 nights and the 1 day she came in she barely cleaned the room without wiping any surfaces and shot out almost an entire pizza because it was left on our kitchen table. Well it does not fit in the tiny fridge and just because its left on the table apparently means its to be shot out. Even with 6 pieces of pizza in it. Again my wife called to speak to a manager and the manager again said sorry there's nothing we can do, if it looks like garbage they shoot it out. I'm not sure what made her think 6 pieces of pizza in a box were garbage but I was flabbergasted to think that basically anything left out would be considered fair game for them to toss out without any repercussions. They again did nothing to rectify that error either and we were left to order more food at our expense! Food- Continental breakfast ... lol I've seen better free breakfasts at a super 8 motel. It consisted of yogurts, scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage. They had a bin of croissants and a toaster for toast but don't anticipate anything of good quality or abundance. The selection was limited and for the price I anticipated maybe bacon or a waffle maker. Again another disappointment for such a "fine experience hotel". Fine experience in terms of cost is about the extent of it. They made 0 attempts at fixing anything we complained about and clearly they don't care about customer satisfaction so we wont be back, we'll take our business to the Watertower Inn or Delta next time!
Sincerely Zac and...
Read moreSubject: Feedback on Disappointing Anniversary Stay – Room 7794 Dear Quattro Hotel Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share my feedback regarding my recent stay at your hotel over the long weekend, on August 1st, in Room 7794. I had chosen Quattro Hotel with high expectations, especially as this stay was meant to be special, it was the night before my wedding anniversary. My husband and I were traveling up north to celebrate, and I wanted to start our trip with a comfortable and memorable stay at your property. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what I had anticipated, and it left us both feeling disappointed on a night that was meant to be joyful. I had booked a “Top View” room, expecting a comfortable and pleasant environment. However, upon arriving, we noticed several issues that severely affected our stay: The bed and pillows had a strong, unpleasant odor. My husband even woke up during the night because the smell made it hard to breathe. The bedside lamp was not working at all, even when we tried it again in the morning. The air conditioning turned off in the middle of the night, leaving the room stuffy and uncomfortable. Essential toiletries like shampoo and shower gel were missing—only lotion and conditioner were provided initially. When I raised this with the front desk, the head cleaner seemed surprised and eventually brought shampoo, but initially stated there was no shower gel before later finding some. The towels provided had visible hairs on them, making them feel unhygienic. While I understand that occasional oversights can happen, the combination of these issues, especially on a night meant to be part of our anniversary celebration, made the stay stressful instead of relaxing. I had envisioned waking up feeling happy and refreshed, but instead, we felt frustrated and let down. I truly hope you take this feedback seriously, as your hotel’s reputation and the comfort of your guests depend on these details. I would appreciate hearing back from you regarding how you plan to address these concerns so that future guests, especially those celebrating special occasions, do not have to experience the same disappointment. Thank you for your attention to this...
Read moreGreat place to get robbed, and your vehicles damaged.
Stayed at hotel on Sept 10-11 2025 our vehicle as well as our boat (on trailer) were both broken into and damaged in the rear parking lot. We are still getting estimates to replace stolen and damaged items but our current total is over $8,000.
In addition to our vehicles being vandalized and robbed the boat that was parked beside us was also damaged and items stolen, and a commercial truck that was parked on the other side was also broken into and robbed.
The hotel itself and the room were very nice, and the staff were friendly and did their best to help after they found out we had been robbed.
However, the hotel lacks even the most basic forms of security, very poor lighting in the rear lot, no functioning outdoor security cameras, no security guard making rounds. After we had been robbed the staff informed us that there had been a barrage of vehicle break and enters which had prompted public warnings in the city. It would have been nice if the staff had also warned us about these incidents when we checked into the hotel. Instead we got to pay a one night room rental fee for the pleasure of being robbed and vandalized.
The end result was our twenty day 40th anniversary road trip we had been planning for months was cut short after only one night on the road and we are returning home with our tail between our legs and much poorer than we started our road trip the day before. Due to the fact the damage falls under multiple insurance policies that each have their own deductible, it appears that very little if any of the damages will be covered.
As previously mentioned, the staff did their best to help (after the robbery) and the room was excellent but if you value your vehicle or possessions you need to find a hotel that has much better security, or possibly avoid the city of Sault Ste Marie entirely.
The police arrived on scene quickly after we called to report the incident, and the hotel manager went out of her way to find a seamstress to make a temporary repair to our boat...
