Best restaurant in town, 5 stars, etc etc. The other reviews cover this better than I could.

What I DO cover better, though, is my chicken and waffles - with a tangy and delicious sauce that, though it includes the chipotle sauce the (kind and wonderful) staff will give you, manages to exceed it in every way.

Hubris? Hyperbole? You be the judge.

What you will need:

Louie's chipotle sauce. Comes with every chicken order.

2 packets of Louisiana hot sauce. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT; request this sauce SPECIFICALLY from the staff, accept no substitutes. Hoard the extra in your fridge.

A jug of 100% pure Canadian maple syrup, which you will of course have in your fridge by default because you live in Canada and understand that nothing in this world is more important than high-quality maple syrup.

A fork. Or whisk. Whatever, I don't know your life

A container with a spout. I use a measuring cup.

The process:

Pour preferred amount of syrup into container, followed by both packets of Louisiana hot sauce. Top it off with as much of the chipotle sauce as you can reasonably scrape out of the plastic cup without experiencing frustration.

Whisk/fork it. HARD. Until all the unappetizing little globules have dispersed into the thick, syrupy mess that you've created.

Finally, pour it over your delectable chickenwaffes. Be sure to splash the chicken parts 2x as hard as the waffle parts to achieve TOTAL PERMEATION.

Eat, enjoy, and clean your dishes that night or you'll be sorry.

5 star is being rude this place deserves more stars!! I was recommended by a friend to visit Louie’s cafe back in the summer of 2021 but I never had a real excuse to go so far just for a sandwich and some ice cream . In the afternoon today I was visiting a new home that my friend purchased in Oshawa and on the way home decided to do a stop over at Louie’s to see what the hype was really all about since I realized it’s easier to get to port perry from Oshawa than Etobicoke!

Let’s just say I don’t understand WHY in the world I waited so long because it was the best decision I ever made. I got the Louie’s Orignal Sandwich & 3 cookies and creme ice cream scoops. It was the best fried sandwich burger I’ve ever had . Wasn’t too greasy like a sandwich you would get from another burger joint and the ice creme tasted absolutely so rich and creamy. I definitely will be going back soon even if it’s out of my way I don’t care. Also the customer service given by the fella working made me feel so welcomed. Very kind gentlemen....

I decided to post the 5 star review because I’ve eaten here multiple times and it has been flawless every time with exception to this one. For some reason this is the first time I’ve been that they haven't used a box for their chicken sandwich but instead decided to use wax wrapping paper. The problem with the way they wrap the burger now is that the bottom bun is inedible and a soggy mess that breaks through your fingers while you grab it. I’m worried if they don’t fix this problem they’ll see the reviews start to go down. Again fantastic place but this needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
