Ive been to this location multiple times and never had a problem with it, usually the workers are very nice and easy to speak too. The two working today at around 3 were very rude and cold and not hospitable what so ever. Communication wasn’t great either. After making my sub the lady asked if I wanted it warmed, I’ve never had that asked and didn’t know that was as thing so I assumed that just meant warmed as in toasted, so I responded with “yeah warm like toasted?” And she is very quiet and not complete sentences, so when I said that she asked again about it being warm and I said yeah warmed like toasted, again thinking that was just toasted. She put it somewhere to be warmed I guess while I was helping my mom pick out her sub and after she toasted my moms I was asking where mine was, she pulled it out and it was all melted and the lettuce and cucumbers were all hot and gross. I had no meat on this sub so warm veg and lettuce was not appetizing. (Miscommunication for sure)
I mentioned that I thought it was toasted and she said no you wanted warm. I wasn’t being mean or getting mad at her just saying I didn’t think that’s what it was and it’s all soggy and gross and the lettuce and veggies are super warm and soggy now so I won’t eat it, and then both her and the guy working there started getting mad at me and blaming me and raising their voices, especially the guy.. and saying it’s my fault I said yes to warm and they aren’t making another one. Proceeded to not let me talk and kept yelling at me and cutting me off and saying he can toast it for me now but he’s not taking the money out of his pocket for that when it’s not their fault and they aren’t making me another one. So I ended up leaving and leaving the sub there. (Didn’t help that the customer there started telling me they always do warming). Again I’ve never had that and I stated that to them so i didn’t know.
One of the worst experience. I’ve worked in both management and service in food and beverage for 15 + years and never have I or anyone that has worked with or for me talked to any customers like that nor have I ever been talked to like that or had someone deal with a situation in such a hostel, defensive manner. If I could rate 0* I would be!! Im absolutely horrified with the customer service and care skills from an employee at #Mrsub in Port Perry i went in today and ordered subs told them I am celiac and allergic to wheat he (Armon not sure of the spelling) cleaned the counters leaving visible crumbs behind and proceeds to place the sub paper on top of them when I requested a new paper and for the counters to be re-wiped I got told I just wiped it it is fine I said excuse me but there are crumbs on the counter under the paper he then proceeded with telling me to get out of the store I said excuse me then my mom told him twice to lift the paper off the counter once he finally did my mom said see there are crumbs and they can make her very sick and she could end up in the hospital his response is wiped it dint lile it get the hell out! Another employee came over and told him to go and get to the back and had to push him towards the back and took over front counter wiped it down very well changed her gloves twice took everything out from underneath and gave us the other employees name who was so ignorant from the start! Thank to the lady i ate a safe meal unfortunately thanks to Armon for making me feel so ashamed and out of place my anxiety was in high overdrive for over and hour and i left the place in tears!! Read moreI've been a Mr Sub fan for 26 years. The one in my old neighbourhood closed. So whenever I see one I always try and stop in. I decided to stop at this one in Port Perry and it was busy but efficient. The sub was amazing and made with care. I watched the people infront of me get served with lots of respect and personality. Than when I was eating my sub I watched the one gentleman handle the following customers. THEY CARE! He made sure to make a woman's sub perfectly and away from everyone else's due to a gluten allergy. My girlfriend can't have gluten and if she seen that. She would be so happy. Every topping on her sub was put on with care at another table surface. This place gets beyond 5 stars. Every employee should be proud of the service they provide.
