I’d give zero stars if I could. The customer service was horrible. I came in when they weren’t busy and wanted to use the washroom before ordering. There were three young ladies standing around chatting. I asked for the key and one of the girls looked at me and rudely said “it’s for customers only”. I was taken aback at her tone and the fact that she was insinuating that I was not a customer. I’m the most basic white girl there is. I am their main customer demographic. I explained they can give me the key and I will spend money there or they can refuse to give me the key and I will not spend money there. Then one of the other girls said again “it’s for customers only. Are you going to buy something?” And I had to roll my eyes because what did I just say? She tossed the key across the counter at me and turned away and said “you don’t have to be rude!” I told her that they were being rude and treating potential customers like criminals is a great way to make sure I don’t spend money here. The one who tossed the key at me said “then don’t”. So I said “ok” and walked away. Absolutely horrible business practice. This is Sherwood Park, not downtown Edmonton. Someone asks for the key you give it to them with a smile. That is what CREATES customers. Most people operate on the honor system and will buy something if the washroom is for customers only. But no one likes to be treated like a criminal by snarky young girls for asking for the key before they purchase something. Those girls need to be...
Read moreI'd heard bad reviews from friends about this location, and I chose to ignore that and see if I would get different results. The answer to that is NOPE! I did not. I received the same pitiful experience as my friends, so I will continue to share it by word of mouth and post a piece of my concern here.
The customer service at this location and the lack of genuine care from the staff, is an absolute joke. A month of being deferred every week, to 'the next Thursday' when they will 'receive more product', but of course, no results. And then when asked if I can tack on a special order and prepay for the beans I was looking to buy for WEEKS!!... I did NOT get an offer to take my number or to write a note to the manager/owner/supervisor, whomever was in charge or placing orders. Instead, I got practically scoffed out of the store by the disrespectful and dismissive staff onsite.
Whoever manages this team needs to have a conversation with them about customer service, their (lack thereof) professional attitudes, and address their blatant disregard for any effort to help a customer after having been patient for 1mo... I will absolutely NOT be returning to this location. Many others are run significantly better than this one and after the experience tonight... I can safely say I will go out of my way to another Second Cup who actually wants my...
Read moreI've been going to this location since it opened and ordering a coffee has become painful. I don't typically leave reviews, BUT for nearly 7 dollars a drink the whole experience is trash, poorly trained staff who have zero customer retention skills, high staff turnover, leaving you sitting at the pickup window wondering if they forgot about you, literally there first job is to great you happily, make connections treat you like the day was probably trash and this 7 dollar experience is worth it. But again 17 years I've been going there this new staff is cold, Doesn't give any preferred repeat customer treatments. I've liked my mocha with extra chocolate to sweeten the tartness of the espresso. They lost my wife to starbucks, because of very poor experience, poor staffing and inconsistencies in beverages. Between her and i, thats a reoccurring daily 13 dollars. Oh and by the way owner who in fact pays staff when he wants too, the standards are pretty easy bud, work 2 weeks get paid the same once every 2 weeks, not when its convenient for you. Updated: started reading other reviews and am glad I'm not alone on this, stuck sitting in line, sitting at the drive thru window for 5 minutes with not even a hello. Do better second cup, the people coming thru your window have jobs also and rely on a great experience to pick them up, for a...
