Always looking for a good hole in the wall. I would say the variety is really what you should come here for. I got the 12 items for $14ish. My boyfriend got the same. It did not come with spring rolls, we had to order that separately. After adding two pops it came to $40. Was it worth the drive all the way to sherwood park to get it? Yes and no. The staff are amazingly friendly. There are things i would only get if i did go back. The boneless pork and dry rib were really good! Im curious to go back and see what else they have in that breading cause 👌. Fried shrimp was really good, lots of shrimp inside! Ginger beef was nice a spicy with a little bit of crisp and good flavour. The rice was passable. Sesame chicken had good flavour as well! I really didnt like the chicken ball cause of the salt. Everything else was just okay. Please keep in mind i did arrive 30 minutes before close so my boyfriend missed out on a couple things that ran out, but she gave us extra of the other foods because of it. I think during the day youre more likely to get food fresh. Overall it wasnt amazing, but a really good deal if youre...
Read moreGolden 88 is my go-to spot for Chinese food, even though it’s a bit of a drive to Sherwood Park—it’s absolutely worth it. The portions are generous, the prices are great, and the staff is always friendly.
My favorite dishes here are the sweet and sour pork and the honey garlic spare ribs—they’re packed with flavor and always cooked perfectly. On my last visit, I also ordered deep-fried shrimp, chicken balls, beef and broccoli, chicken chow mein, Shanghai noodles, dry ribs, and Singapore noodles. Everything was very tasty, with great flavors and just the right amount of crispiness where needed. The kids especially loved the chow mein and beef with broccoli!
One of the best things about this place is their meal deal—you can get 5 items for just $11.50, all the way up to 12 items for around $14, making it an incredible value. It’s a hole-in-the-wall kind of spot, but don’t let that fool you—the food is fresh, delicious, and well worth the trip. If you're craving good Chinese food, this is the...
Read moreThis place was recommended a number of years ago and I finally got around to going to Sherwood Park and locating this establishment. Did new owners take over or something? Although the restaurant didn't have a good appearance, it was too late, I had pre-ordered by phone. I was starving and decided to add some chicken balls from the buffet to ease the hunger pains. Mistake!! The chicken balls were terrible and barely warm. Don't the steam tables require a certain temperature to be maintained? When I got home I grabbed the egg roll....it was dripping in oil. I only ate the insides. I was hoping the other items would be at least somewhat satisfying. They were just OK, except the Beef & Brocolli tasted like it was prepared with artificial gravy mix. I am sensitive to MSG but I haven't had a reaction like this in ages. I suffered all night. In the morning the stomach is...
