At what point did Taco Time, fast food in general lose integrity, quality, and respect for food?
Today, after many years of ordering Taco time I downloaded the App. I did this because I know my order takes about 5minutes to cook fresh. Let's emphasize FRESH. I ordered through the app and set the order to be ready about 20min from time of order. I left my house expecting to pick up hot fresh food on my way to go work night shift.
What I received however was walking into the restaurant, approached the counter and said "pick up for Devin". Once the 3 women stopped chatting and one came around to help me. She said "3 minutes". Now this would have been fine by me even though my time line is strict which is why I ordered in advance. But then to my surprise, I watch the girl scoop out all of the Mexi fries from the warmer and toss them back into the deep fryer. I questioned it. Are you seriously reheating already cooked Mexi fries. She assured me it was alright because they were under the "warmer". I said are you kidding me? She asked. "Do you want fresh?"
Is that seriously a fricking question coming from and employee of a restaurant? DO I WANT FRESH?????
I've lost a lot of respect for Taco time and moving forward I will not be using the app. Instead inconveniently go in order and watch to make sure I'm not getting recycled food. Very...
Read moreI recently went to Taco Tuesday and had such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every taco I tried was bursting with taste, and you can tell they really care about the quality of their ingredients. What made it even better was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They made me feel right at home and created a great atmosphere overall. It's the kind of place you want to come back to, not just for the food, but for the people as well. If you're looking for a spot with amazing tacos and genuinely kind service, I highly recommend checking them out. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreTaco Time in the Edmonton and area has always been a difficult sell. They are inconsistent and the results always leave you wanting more.
Finally this Taco Time gives fans what they deserve. I have visited this restaurant repeatedly, and they have delivered the quality I missed from Calgary. The food is warm and the mexi-fries are crispy. The hot sauce is mixed just right and the staff are professional. I shamelessly drive out to this store when I feel like tacos even if the commute is long.
I pray this store will...
