Overall good food and ambience; busy place in Smithers! Sunomono salad: sour refreshing taste; definitely stimulating for the appetite and a good palette cleanser in between/after eating War miso soup: such a good twist, and a heartier version of a regular miso soup. It has hints of sesame oil, chili oil, and chewy clear noodles Spicy tuna bites: thinly breaded with cajun seasoning. The tuna did not smell or taste fishy. It’s not spicy. This was my partner’s favourite Salmon delight “boat”: good serving size; good option if you want a well-balanced meal. It comes with a regular miso soup Spicy sushi combo: the tuna nigiri is surprisingly fresh! And it does not have a fishy taste or smell; the tuna melted right in my mouth. The sushi roll is okay; nothing too special. The combination is not spicy at all… This order comes with a regular miso but can be upgraded to the “war miso soup” for an extra charge Ambience and aesthetic of the place was modern and clean. There seems to be an octopus theme happening. The washroom has a baby changing station, which is a plus for parents with babies and toddlers.

Extraordinary tasting sushi! Blue water has a warm welcome strait as you enter the door. Hearing great things around town. I had to check it out. The restaurant is fairly big, and beautiful at best. You have a choice to sit at a table or a bar. I would highly recommend sitting at the bar if your dining by your self as you get to see the amazing chefs at hard work cooking delicious food. Great for the family or a date for your special one. Service is amazing! With many different and unique types of sushi, salads, and soups there’s never a lack of variety. My personal favourite is the Volcano. Not sure what’s in it but I got a great pic! Everything I had tasted was spectacular and even at the busiest of times the longes wait was 15 minutes. I’m definitely coming back, you should check it out. What would I ever do with out you ... 🍣

We ordered take out, and I was so so excited for sushi and this was unfortunately a let down. The yam rolls are $8.00 each, but are mostly rice (pictured) i was shocked that they were served with such little filling. I did choose to have them without mayo, but that does not excuse the severe lack of yam! The avocado rolls were much better balanced. Gyoza was fine, but the takoyaki were like the yam rolls - very underfilled!! One tentacle in one ball (pictured). Oishi roll was also just ok. I don’t think we’ll be returning, sadly, as the prices just don’t equal the servings we received 😞 Definitely would recommend going into the restaurant to dine before getting take out as there is a chance to rectify any disappointment! The staff were very friendly when I was in, though and the restaurant is beautiful and clean!

First time eating at a real sushi place , it was very clean , smelt great , service was polite and fast , Gyoza was delish ,California crunch with Unagi sauce was simply perfection , Avocado roll was freash and flav was top shelf, Japanese salad was well put together …… price was a little high but its a small town in the middle of the mountains you cant complain , i would recommend this place to family & friends ….. i drove 17 hours from Alberta , very happy that we ate here and i will be returning for future menu items 🤟🤟🤟

I had people tell me it was the BEST sushi ever. Sorry but it's good, not great. I've had better. And beyond disappointed in my absolute fav takoyaki. You butchered it and it was so gross. The rolls I ordered were good. Decent tasting. I would order rolls again but never takoyaki. Either make it properly or remove it from your menu because you'll give yourself a terrible reputation for that alone. You ruin one thing, you ruin it all.

This is the best sushi we have had in awhile. Shelly gave us amazing service with a huge smile. Thanks Shelly. The left roll is the pacific roll you could drive for this roll alone. The middle is the rainbow roll. It was dam good. The eight was the smokey roll. So good it should be illegal. The second pic is the scallop roll. Shut the front door and send me home. One of the best rolls ever. Great job all thank you
