Excellent! Coffee , food, people, location, setup, everything. It's almost setup like a permanent food truck, open air with the seating on a sidewalk plaza (including a piano under an umbrella).

Got their version of a mocha which was very nice and a delicious cacao cookie as a reward after my crater lake hike (also recommended). Many of their baked items are gluten free.

Maybe you came to Smithers because, like me, you slept at the glacier view rest area about 10km from town and awoke to find a sign directing you there or maybe you planned to come here and enjoy the quaint Swiss/Dutch ambiance. Errr just surprised to see reviews specifically celebrating the "super friendly" staff - the two times we went they all seemed a little inexplicably surly, you know just typical teen girls. I mean not terrible, just normal, as to be expected from teen girls. But the baked GF treats were sooo good. Nick has spent several years learning his craft-and it shows. I have ordered coffee over the years from all of the acknowledged high end roasters in BC, Alberta and one in Ontario.I didn't intitially buy in bulk from Nick because the offerings simply didn't equal what I had purchased from 49th parallel or Eclipse in Canmore.
