EDITED after seeing owner response : If I'm honest I'm probably the exception to the many reviews on here but I can't help but leave a negative review. It started off promising, placed an order and at the time there was a sign at the cashier asking for client patience as there was staff in training. Ok no big deal, I get that . The place is set up where you place your order at the cashier and then they give you a number which you then take and find a table inside or on the patio. I ordered a wrap and a coffee waited patiently with my dog, which staff came out to pet and give treats to which was amazing. I waited for effectively 1 to 1.5 hrs approx watching folks get their order. I finally asked one of the staff and they had no clue that I had placed an order or what happened . To add insult to injury they sold out of what I ordered and was refunded for my meal order in cash as I was loading up my dog into the truck. I waited a few minutes in my truck and really really had to compose myself being on a road trip from the Yukon down to Vancouver, I was tired and hungry and just wanted a decent meal. I couldn't belive I was refunded for just the meal and not the coffee, not that it really mattered financially but that was a slap in the face and principle. I had to walk back in to the store and just ask what the thought process was for refunding me just for the meal, at which point the lady that took my order then offered to refund my coffee. It took a ton of composure. The lady that took my order basically said she took a break after my oder and doesn't know what happened. I know mistakes happen but 1.5 hrs all said and done, no meal and having to reconsider possibly hitting the road and opt for a fast food spot for lack of time had me livid. I will say the younger staff member that I initially approached showed genuine concern and was overly apologetic, she almost panicked and I appreciated her concern but I also realize the person that took my order did not communicate to her at all about the order. I struggled to find another place to eat as I had a 10hr drive ahead and bit the bullet and went back in and literally said I couldn't find another place to eat, I'm just hungry and need something. I even offered to pay for my new meal. I assume the owner responded here is the person I dealt with mostly and if I'm honest, she provided more excuses (don't know what happened, the ticket never made it to the back, staff are new). So I'm not surprised by the response below. Again I recognize I'm the exception but the so called solutions presented only occurred due to my perseverance and perhaps need to re-enter the establishment and just order something. As for the free 12 dollar meal... You only offered that after I came back in to order something. So the Holier than thou, reiteration of a free meal IS NOT COOL either and is the bare minimum any respectable establishment would do, it took you 3 goes. The only person deserving credit is the youg girl I approached to ask...
Read moreAmazing! Great space, great drinks, great baked goods, great even. Heck, they even have great coffee mugs!
Got a mocha (which happened to be an almost perfect color compliment for my hand crafted mug) and a blueberry crumble bar (which, strangely, soon disappeared)
Really liked how their patio walls have glass inserts with positive words on them. Representative of the type of place it is (as witnessed by both locals and travelers happily conversing with each other).
I almost forgot but the restrooms have high quality sanitary products for the ladies (in addition to...
