My bad experience here came from another customer, who became enraged over my use of the words "I'm so sorry, I feel like you're standing just a little too close," while I was becoming over-stimulated by someone who was both bouncing around me, and breathing down my neck. Unfortunately, someone else further back in line lost it on me as a result. Even though I literally shoved myself into a corner as soon as I'd ordered, I was both misgendered, and accused of feeling entitled to the entire space in the shop.
Absolutely no one helped, but that's pretty normal when one person is yelling at a minority. And after 30 years working--over 20 of them in service--it's what I expect from humanity. All I could do was repeat the word "no," while that guy got more and more enraged, until I left as controlled as I could--considering my heart was trying to vacate my chest cavity, and my brain had disengaged.
So I can never go back, and had to give away the items I'd bought--as my cptsd means I won't be able to eat through the fire in my stomach for a few weeks now--but. I don't think my trauma-impacted association should stop anyone from going here. Get a breakfast sandwich for me; those things were amazing.
Just watch out for...

Only thing keeping me from rating 5 stars was that the barista was staring daggers at me the moment we walked in, and was pretty rude during the interaction đ We did come in half an hour before closing, and like, I get it -- I used to be a barista, and I didn't like when customers came in before close too (and we closed at 10 PM!). So I don't want to discredit the whole place because of it. I say give it a shot! Really great quality...
Read moreOrdered a iced latte to go and it took so long (15 mins) that I had to leave without even getting my coffee due to risking being late for an appointment. There were only two people in line when I arrived. The barista and other two staff behind the counter were socializing and loudly laughing with one another the whole time I waited for my drink. No urgency to do their job at all. I understand when a cafe is busy with customers or understaffed wait times are expected- but this was not the case. Went next door and was told this coffee shop was sold last summer to new ownerships- seems that it's...
