Serious Coffee Sooke — Restaurant in Sooke

My cousin and I ordered a drink which were lattes. Service was fine and took only a couple of minutes. Then my husband went and ordered "brew of the day". He sat back down with us for about 10 minutes. After that he went up to side counter to sit and wait for his drink. I went up 5 minutes later and asked if his drink would be ready soon as my cousin and I were already done our lattes. She said it would be a few more minutes. 10 minutes my husband is still waiting there. I finally go up and ask one more time and the male and female working are extremely rude stating it was our fault for not reminding them to make his drink. A total of 25 minutes waiting with no apology. I thought for sure it would be free. Will not be returning here. Still in shock over this...

This is one of the few places on the island that makes a proper cappucino instead of a latte and an apology. Once you have been in a few times, the lovely staff will remember your order. And if you go in a lot, they will even remind you what you usually order if you forget (to ask for decaf).

They are always bright and friendly, even first thing in the morning, or when it starts to get really busy. They make great recommendations when you want to try something new and are always generous when it comes to a special request.

The coffee is great - especially if you like a great espresso or cappucino that is dark but not bitter. It's immaculately clean, and they feature a rotating offering of local artist's works to...

I gave this a 3 star because i went in for a nice beverage on a rough day. I'm relaxing, while only having had 3 sips of my expensive large eggnog Chai latte.. it spills all over the place. We had to call someone over to get a mop and clearly you could tell it was a full fresh cup all over the place. Other coffee places I've been to have offered new beverages no problem when unfortunate events like this happen. I understand I spilled my drink but it's the service and courtesy of asking a customer if they'd like a new beverage rather than cleaning it up and ignoring the fact that there full expensive coffee was all over the floor.
