White Spot Squamish — Restaurant in Squamish

Stopped by White Spot in Squamish after spending a few days in Whistler. We ordered their burgers (Monty Mushroom and the Bacon and Brie Beef Burger), Spaghetti Bolognese and the Humboldt Squid and the blueberry pie. I also tried the Twisted Bellini. Our food was so good. The burgers were huge and juicy. I love the flavour of arugula instead of lettuce in the Bacon and Brie Burger. The Humboldt Squid appetizer was so fresh and tasty. It didn't taste fishy and it was so tender, no hint of chewiness at all. The blueberry pie was filled with fresh, sweet blueberries and topped with whipped cream. Yum! The only thing that disappointed me was the Bellini. It looked really good but tasted too artificial.

Came in here after a long weekend mountain biking. It was around 5pm, there were about 2 tables seated in the restaurant. Front of house was upbeat and friendly. We waited for a long time to receive menus and then again had to signal to staff TWICE just to order. What are all the staff doing if there are barely any customers to wait on? The place was like a ghost town. Ordered my burger and it came very quickly, but taste wise I was left scratching my head why I paid $20 for a very mediocre burger at best with a side of onion rings. Definitely could have gotten something of comparable if not better quality at a neighbouring fast food joint, of which there were several options in the same complex. Went hiking at Sea to Sky with the family and finished around 3 pm-ish kids were really hungry and asked me to bring then to Whitespot. Got a table and kids went for the Fish & Chips while wife and I shared the seafood pasta. It looked like a normal meal but it turned out pretty well, but not without mentioning it was all because of our server Denver. She really served us well and gave us a great time..she always was there making sure we had everything set up, refilling our fries and offering us extra pieces of their signature Beer Battered Cod for only $3.49 which was a great deal for the size, and my hungry kids went for like another four pieces. Only thing I wished was that I gave Denver a better tip because she truly deserved it. She turned an ordinary meal into an extra-ordinary meal. Management is lucky to have her on the team.
