I was super excited when they opened a Popeyes Louisiana Chicken location in St.Albert.
The first few times I went, there were issues with my orders. Didn’t think much of it as they were new at the time, and still trying to figure things out.
I wasn’t going to write a review. However after the most recent experience, I will NEVER support this location. Going forward I will drive to Edmonton or Sherwood Park locations. (Yes even with high gas price).
Placed a mobile order for a family pack at 1:12 pm. Did not walk out with my order until after 2pm. The mobile order only had dine in option and no drive through option which other locations have.
Upon arrival I was told my 2 sandwiches were not ready and it’s a 8 minute wait, however the rest of the items were.
17 minutes later sandwiches were ready, however they gave away our chicken tenders to another customer. So they said have to wait another 5 minutes for chicken tenders. They offered a drink or apple pie instead of the tenders. I declined as my kids wanted tenders as a meal and not drink or dessert.
After another long wait chicken tenders were still not ready yet, I saw nuggets and asked if I could take nuggets instead as I don’t want to wait any longer.
As I headed out the door, I noticed that they didn’t issue me a receipt. I needed it to do the online survey, (don’t care about the free food item). All I wanted to do was let head office know about how bad this location is run. Anyways they threw away my receipt. Took them a long time to go through the garbage can to find it.
While they were searching for the receipt, they offered a refund. I declined as I wanted the receipt, and money was not the issue here.
They also gave me only 2 dipping sauce packs even though the order specified 4 dipping sauce packs. While I was waiting, I saw other customers waiting for their orders and walk up to have their orders corrected. Another customer also walked away not knowing their order was incomplete and it was discovered after employee came up to counter saying we forgot to give customer their popcorn shrimp.
There’s also other issues I didn’t bring up.
I’ve never encountered a fast food establishment make mistakes after mistakes on every visit. Also why would they throw away my receipts and not others?
Overall one can tell this establishment is poorly run. Hopefully new management or franchisee can turn this around, until then I will not be supporting this local...
Read moreThe last time I was in the drive-through, there was a person in front of me yelling at a seemingly 16-year-old girl working the drive-through about the wait time. A grown adult screaming at a child. Just disgraceful.
This young girl continued to still smile at me as the next customer and apologize about the wait time. Good for you. I apologize for not getting your name, but you are fantastic at your job. Keep that attitude and work ethic up!
The wait time here can sometimes be a little long, particularly in the drive-through, but I have never been disappointed with the actual customer service I've received here, which is what my review is based on. I've started walking into the store directly, as I usually get faster service that way, but the manager recognizes me when I go in, which I thought was lovely! Read moreEvery time we have been to this location they forget items, the food isn't fresh or you have to wait FOREVER . What makes the experience even worse is; if you need to call to let them know about the missing items there is only this messaging service. I have left messages and never got a call back. Today i lost more than $10.00 in missing food and no way to call and have the situation dealt with. 100% do NOT recommend this location 😒. I will not be back and I really hope my missing items are either replaced or refunded. If you want the best and freshest food from popeyes go to mistatim rd location at least there is an actual phone number if by rare chance something goes wrong.
UPDATE: it's now been 10 days since I called the location (3x with 3 messages) to resolve the issue. No call back or contact. I guess I will not be getting my money back or missing items...
