The Pan Pan Express Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in St. Albert

Used to be great when it was Lingnan. They sold and for first few months it was same quality. Now the food is the.. absolute .. worst .. food... ever.. and I've eaten all over the world.

Yum Yum Shrimp breaded instead of large prawns, dry, heavily greasy.. sauce not consistent.. only 2 pcs of peach.

Dry spicy chicken.. no spices, bland and no veggies to flavour..too thick coating... it used to be tender pcs of chicken without thick breading and had nice amount of spice with onions and green peppers julienned.

Sweet and sour pork had way too much coating and meat was sinuey, tough and dry.

We were missing one dish completely.

Missing lemon sauce. When I called about it, they were too busy to help me.

They promised to fix the issues in the future and I should call back. When I called back the following week, they were difficult, refused to help until I told them I refer a lot of friends and family, then they only offered 10% instead of at least offering to replace bad dishes.

Would not recommend this place under any curcumstances. Didn't even want to give it...

If you're going to order over the phone make sure you are very clear with what you are ordering.

We had order Veggie thick noodles, and egg rolls. Even asked if the egg rolls had meat in them. Lady on the phone said there was no meat, and then asked if rice was ok.....

Once I got home with the food we find out they gave us Shanghai noodles with chicken. My girlfriend called them and very politely said we had ordered the Veggie thick noodles. They insisted that it was OUR mistake. Did not offer to do anything about the meal even after us stating that we can not eat this food we just spent $20 for.

The issue is not that they messed up the order, it is that they blamed us – and offered no compensation. If they were understanding and had refunded us for the mistake, I would have rated 5 stars for the effort.... But the lady could not have been more rude.

Just ranting at this point... Egg rolls were 9 out...

Delicious! I wasn't expecting much since St .Albert doesn't have a high Chinese population but Pan Pan express was quite good. Chow mein and fried rice were excellent, same quality I would get from China Town or my usual eat on the southside. Update: I've had the lunch special quite a few times, I think it's a great deal, the ginger beef is great, very crunchy but could use a little more sauce. The sweet and sour pork is great too. I tried the dry chicken but I only got a few pieces, I wasn't impressed, maybe just a one off. I keep returning for the lunch special lately, but will order...
