Kim's Wooden Nicol — Restaurant in St. Catharines

The moment we walked in we were greeted with the pleasant aroma of chicken wings and beer. It smells like fun. You jus find a seat and with a blink of an eye we were being served. Clean and friendly, now let me check out the washroom as this is the real acid test. WOW real paper towels in a pristine environment. I like a paper towel to dry my hands and handle the door to leave the restroom without exposing my hand to contamination. I ordered the pizza with all my favourite toppings and my wife ordered the wings. Good food! The wings were jumbo served with carrots and celery the pizza a thin crust loaded with topping. The pizza was good but I would suggest it be baked a little slower using a solid aluminum pan to temper the bake and allow the ingredients a bit more time to cook. A solid pan would also hold onto the moisture which a thin crust has so little of for a better crust. Just my opinion. I would suggest a Crown Cookware 500-05104 Canadian Made Pan to do the trick.

Never take your kids to this place. The fowl language expelled from one individual’s mouth while I was there with my children was absolutely intolerable. I never felt so embarrassed for them to hear what was spoken. The waitress apparently told the manager but the person was never spoken to about it, and thus the fowl language kept spewing out over and over again. It was 7:00pm at night. I payed for my food and asked for it to go. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I feel that most of the other guests eating there felt similarly just as embarrassed hearing this man’s repeated use of the F word. I will tell as many people as I can my negative experience and opinion of this place. I hope the place folds in short order. Clearly the management there has no idea how to take control of their atmosphere at this restaurant and I am forewarning anyone to pass on going here for food so that they don’t endure the same embarrassment that me and my young family had to go...

Had the misfortune of dining at this bar for the first and last time last night. Owner Kim is rude and unfriendly and her hygiene is questionable. Not her personal hygiene but her dog sits in his dog bed on top of the bar when she continually touches him. She also goes outside for a cigarette and after touching dog and cigarettes no hand washing is going on. She was rude to me at the table. My son posted a bad review while we were there and she came up to out table phone in hand demanding answers. She then had the audacity to say she wasn't rude. Of course she saw the review because her cell phone never left her hands the whole time she was working. She's very miserable looking and never once cracked a smile.
