I stopped here on a roadtrip (hungry after visiting Niagra Falls- first highly rated Indian place just off the highway I spotted) and I'm so glad we did. We arrived a little late for lunch, early for dinner so it was nearly empty, but we received excellent but not overbearing service. We got the malai kofta and a side of rice which was good, and to really lean in to the Canadian experience the butter chicken poutine which was AMAZING! I would have to get the poutine again if we are ever in the area again. I also got a mango lassi which they did a swirl of cherry juice on to make extra fancy. Portions were very generous, thankfully our next stop was our next hotel which we knew had a microwave and fridge so we were able to have our late lunch leftovers for dinner and they were still delicious. If you're unable to take leftovers with you one entree and some rice or naan or a large dish like the poutine is probably enough for 2 people, don't get too carried away ordering. The dine in atmosphere was nice enough, lots of pretty but fake plants and playing nice Hindi music to complement the tasty food. Some nice art on the walls but the beauty of the food really...
Read moreWe recently visited the restaurant and had an overall pleasant experience. The service provided by Shiva and Aryan was commendable; they were attentive and ensured that we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. The food, on the whole, was quite enjoyable. However, there were a few concerns that need to be addressed. First, the lighting above each table seemed insufficient, which made the ambiance a bit dimmer than expected. More concerning, we discovered a piece of chicken in the Karahi Paneer dish, which is meant to be a vegetarian option. Additionally, a tiny hair was found in the food, raising concerns about hygiene standards. While the servers were apologetic and offered to replace the dishes, we declined the offer out of courtesy. That said, considering the nature of the issues, it would have been more appropriate for the restaurant to remove those items from the bill, which unfortunately was not done. On a positive note, the restaurant’s decor was tasteful, service was great and the overall environment was cozy and welcoming. With attention to detail in food preparation and customer care, the dining experience could be...
Read moreWhen I went to the restaurant, the level of service I got truly astonished me. To begin with, I had their aloo tikki chaat for an appetizer that transported me back to the streets of ancient Delhi. Next, I tasted their tandoori items, and the tandoori achaari aloo was my favourite in this section. My fave dish is the masala chicken wings as I've had them at their food truck in NOTL before. The greatest chicken malai tikka I've ever tasted, till date. I had the Dal Makhani for my dinner, and it was really good with just the right amount of richness. The butter chicken tasted just as good as it did at the original Daryaganj restaurant. The best thing about the butter chicken was that it had the ideal balance of spices and wasn't too sweet or hot.The chicken was cooked to perfection and was really juicy and tender. You could taste every spice in the chicken korma. I had never had chicken vindaloo before, and I was blown away by how good it tasted the first time.
Praise be to Chef.Kamini Srivastava for bringing all these real delicacies from Delhi's...
