Pho Ngon - A Hidden Gem for Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine
If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese dining experience, Pho Ngon is the place to be. I recently visited and was thoroughly impressed by both the quality of the food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The standout dishes for me were the Tendon Brisket Pho and the Bun Bo Hue. The Tendon Brisket Pho is a delightful bowl of comfort, with tender brisket and tendon that practically melts in your mouth. The broth is rich and flavorful, clearly simmered for hours to achieve that perfect balance of savory and aromatic.
The Bun Bo Hue, on the other hand, is a spicy, hearty soup that packs a punch. The depth of flavor in the broth, combined with the tender slices of beef and the thick, round noodles, makes it an absolute must-try for anyone who enjoys a bit of heat in their meal.
Both dishes showcase the care and skill that goes into every bowl at Pho Ngon. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are fresh, making each bite a satisfying experience.
Overall, Pho Ngon has quickly become one of my favorite spots for Vietnamese cuisine. Whether you're a pho enthusiast or looking to try something new, I highly recommend stopping by and giving their Tendon Brisket Pho and Bun Bo Hue a try. You won't be...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a Vietnamese restaurant, and it was an experience that truly captured my heart. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, filled with the rich aromas of fresh herbs and spices. The decor was a beautiful blend of traditional Vietnamese elements and modern touches, creating a cozy yet vibrant dining space.
The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, each bursting with flavor. I started with the classic pho, which was a comforting bowl of broth, tender noodles, and fresh garnishes. The balance of flavors was perfect, and I could taste the care that went into making it. I also tried the banh mi, which was a delicious combination of crispy baguette, savory meats, and fresh vegetables. Every bite was a delightful explosion of textures and tastes.
What truly stood out was the attentive service. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend dishes or share the story behind them. It felt like I was not just a customer but a guest in their home. Overall, my love for this Vietnamese restaurant stems from its authentic flavors, welcoming ambiance, and exceptional service. I can't wait to go back and explore more of their...
Read moreI was looking for a good pho place in St. Catharines and this place had good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a pork salad roll, beef and tendon pho and bun bo hue. The order arrived in a timely fashion; I got a delivery so I can't say much about the quality of service there.
The salad roll was pretty good, all the vegetables inside it tasted fresh and the pork inside it was tasty. The portion of the salad roll and the noodles were pretty generous; they give you a lot of broth even for the takeout, and the broth of both noodles had a good amount of depth and well-seasoned. I think the base broth for bun bo hue and the beef broth are the same, but bun bo hue had some acidity added that made it unique. The toppings for both bun bo hue and the beef pho were generous and all well-cooked.
Overall, I really liked the pho here, this will definitely be my go-to pho place at St. Catharines. I'll have to order from here again in the near future to try their vermicelli dish and also dine in person (since takeouts are never as good as dining in). In any case, I'd strongly recommend giving this place a try for...
