This was the worst breakfast I have ever received from a restaurant ever.
First order: Sunset Western on White with Home Fries WELL DONE….. the bread was hardly toasted, and severely soggy, the eggs were burnt and the home fries were RAW. Whenever ordering from Sunset Grill (which this is my last time) I ask for well done home fries because they are always raw….. well ONCE AGAIN EVEN WHEN ASKING FOR WELL DONE THEY WERE ACTUALLY HARD THEY WERE SO RAW.
Sunset Western on Brown : exact same problems, toast was soggy, eggs were burnt and my “well done” home fries were raw and hard.
Florentine Omelette with WELL DONE home fries and Light Rye Toast….. first off DIDNT EVEN GET MY TOAST (got the single pack of jam though)…. MY OMELETTE WAS SO BURNT IT WAS PHYSICALLY CHEWY AND INEDIBLE. The onions in the omelette were so raw you could hear them crunch when I cut into the omelette. They didn’t even bother cooking the onions. Just sheer disrespect and laziness on behalf of the kitchen. My home fries were not only NOT well done, they were COLD AND RAW MAKING THEM INEDIBLE. When your omelette comes out literally brown from being burnt it’s pathetic.
Two orange juices: they couldn’t even get the orange juice right. It was warm, and tasted so watery we were trying to decipher if it was actually orange juice.
During covid money is tight, and eating out is a treat. Well this was a complete waste of money. So bad we ended up ordering from Wimpy’s and spending twice as much for one edible meal.
I am so hurt that Sunset Grill cares so little about their customers they deemed this meal good enough to serve.
To be frank, this is only the second bad review I have ever given. I believe in if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything… but I can’t allow others to waste their hard earned money.
There is absolutely no excuse for this. All three meals absolutely inedible....
Read moreHorrible place !!! Service is slow. Place is loud. Also the staff start cleaning up hours before they even close. This was just before 1pm and this continued the whole time we were there. They are not allowed to even close until 3pm.
She was Slamming and Dragging the wooden chairs across the floor tiles, throughout the restaurant to sweep and to mop. Right up, and against, and around, all their eating customers.
My girlfriend’s chair got hit by this action by the staff member, cleaning inches behind her while she tried to eat. It was a very hard hit. She gave no apology to my girlfriend, she didn’t care.
She did not even try to keep the noise down. She didn’t care about the horrible racket she as making. My party of four were pissed. It got so loud at times, we couldn’t even hear ourselves talking to each other at the table. It was such incredible willful display of rudeness.
It was So Loud. She was cleaning the entire floor. Ruined any enjoyment of the meal. She was also Mopping the whole floor wet, while all the customers were still eating. So dangerous to do this as elderly people frequent this place.
I ended up calling the Head Office, they were shocked at the office, to hear that they do this there, and their blatant rude disturbing of their paying customers. They are not supposed to even do this cleaning until after they close at 3pm. They are just trying to beat the clock in order to leave early at 3pm sharp, at the rude expense of their well paying loyal customers.
This has happened more than once, as we have gone there before for lunch. The Same Loud Cleaning while their customers are trying to enjoy their meals. Never again will we eat there.
Go to the Sunset Grill on Welland Avenue. Never had a problem there. They are...
Read moreCame in on a Sunday morning, hoping to get some food in our system before hitting the road. The place was obviously busy, but it’s a breakfast place, so you expect those things and assume that the staff are equipped to handle it. Well… not here. First off, there’s a typical “please wait to be seated” sign at the entrance, which we abided by. Awkwardly stood there for about a minute, while the servers were just maneuvering around us without saying a word. Then, one of the staff just kind of mumbled “wherever you want”, when walking past us. So we sat ourselves down at a first available table. At least it was clean - the reason why I am giving a generous 3-star. Then we ended up waiting for about 10 minutes at a visibly empty table, with no attention from any of the staff. I mean… there WAS attention as they gave us glances when walking by our table. But they didn’t even give us the menus or at least acknowledge our presence there. Decided to leave when one of the patrons (probably also left unattended) stood up from her table, grabbed a few menus and started giving them out to other patrons, since none of the servers seemed to start doing that any time soon. I am leaving this negative review because it’s a BREAKFAST place. The staff should EXPECT a rush hour in the morning, and be prepared to handle it swiftly and seamlessly. “We’re busy” is not an excuse when it’s literally the most obvious time frame for you guys to be busy. It’s like living in Canada and be flabbergasted about a...
