Pita Pit — Restaurant in Steinbach

Feb. 2020 - Decided to give them another chance after a disappointing first experience. I was the only customer in the store just after 5 pm. There was no one up front, but I could hear people talking in the back over the loud music playing. I could also see one of the employees through the window in the door with their back facing me, looking at their phone. I stood there for nearly 10 minutes, and they just stood there looking at their phone, and talking with the other employee(s). Not once did they even glance or look up front. There was no bell to ring for service, and I felt it wasn't appropriate to shout or go knock on the door. I got tired of waiting so I left and went to ZA pizza bistro instead. The service and food at ZA was great. I definitely won't be going back to this pita pit location.

Sept. 2019 - Very disappointed. We love Pita Pit but this was not a good experience at all. There was a lot of confusion around my order of 2 pitas... not sure why because there was only 2 other customers (one in front and one behind). There ended up being 3 different employees that worked on my pitas. One pita ended up so badly ripped that it completely fell apart when unwrapped and the other one the chicken got left on the grill throughout the confusion and was very badly burnt. Too bad, we were excited about a Pita Pit coming...

I'm very happy that we finally got a Pita Pit in Steinbach. Now we just need a Wendy's ☺

I went there today to get my Husband and I some dinner, as it was way too hot to cook lol 😆

Very friendly staff and good food as always. I ordered 2 Mighty 🐔 Caesars; double meat and double cheese, very yummy! 😋

My customer order is: Shredded lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pickles, pineapple, cheddar cheese, onions-peppers-mushroons on the grill, ceasar and chipotle sauce.

The only constructive criticism that I can give is; don't use browing iceberg lettuce 😁

UPDATE: I've been here 10+ times now and each time has been consistent.

I've tried the 🍓🍌 smoothie, the 🍫 🍌 smoothies and the raspberry blast smoothie. All were delicious, but the 🍫 🍌 is my favorite.

I was hopeful when the new owners took over, but that ship has sailed. They’ve cried on Steinbach Online about construction in the area, they promised service and staffing, saying they always had two employees and one would be management. Well, I don’t mind waiting a bit — but my last visit was the final straw.

I waited 10 minutes just to place my order. Once I did, I slid over, expecting things to move along. Instead, the single worker on duty took seven more orders after mine before even starting mine. Don’t ask how long that dragged out.

Here’s the kicker: the worker herself was awesome — friendly, hard-working, and she makes a killer pita. But they throw her to the wolves every single lunch hour, left completely alone. It’s unfair to her, and brutal...
