Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Steinbach

Everything about this place is awful. -They never ever have the food you're looking for. Not even their promotional donuts. -The drive thru backs out to the street 100% of the time. This isnt due to their speed, its because its a horrible location. they are a little slow, this is mostly due to poor management of staff resources though.

A little more on that last point. The drive thru has two lanes, but only one operator, i guess this is to alleviate the whole backing out on the road and one store inconveniencing an entire town. Why not take advantage though, get another head set going and push some volume sales.

The other problem, and people arnt going to like this in 2022, but its an honest critique. Steinbach is home to about 8 different common languages. (More than that but im grouping east indian in all as one for the sake of the review.) English, french, german, low german, Ukranian, russian, tagalog, and east indian.

The one common language everyone speaks is english. It would make sense to put the person with the Canadian accent that ALLLLLL these different cultures should be able to understand the easiest. On the headset. For the sake of the radio operator too, as much as i have a hard time hearing and understanding them, they have the same difficulty as i do. Then come around the corner and the little canadian girl goes "have a nice day" why is that her only line? Get her on the headset so everyone. Can move through this process faster.

Anyways, id avoid any tims in Steinbach because they all have the same problems, but this one is the worst culprit and consistent...

Consistently the Worst Experience at This Location

I’ve had multiple disappointing visits here, but this time was especially frustrating. I ordered a hot latte with two extra espresso shots (the default is one), but what I received tasted strangely sweet and nothing like a proper latte. When I brought this up, it became clear that the staff member didn’t even understand what a latte was. I had to explain it myself just so they could make it properly.

I requested three total shots, but instead of confirming with me, they apologized and randomly added an extra shot—bringing it to four. The result? An overly bitter latte I couldn’t enjoy.

I always use mobile ordering for convenience, but at this location, they never have the drinks ready when I arrive. Even after I’ve paid, they don’t start making the order until I walk up and ask for it.

The staff here are unprofessional, the wait times are long, and mistakes with both food(there was an eggshell in the breakfast wrap) and drinks are far too common. Very...

I'm normally not this guy, but this location has been going downhill as of late and service is suffering to quite the extreme.

The drive-through is often at capacity blocking traffic in nearby roads; as a result the drive-through get's abnormally high preferential treatment to those at the front counter. I get that. As of late however, the line at the front counter is often ignored and their food takes a ridiculous amount of time to be delivered to them.

My most recent time at this location saw a line of about 5 people waiting for either service or food while the same employee that would eventually serve them lazily filled lids and wiped counters. This employee was joined by another two or three employees who showed no urgency whatsoever in their work.

After about 15 minutes, and about 10 or so sandwiches delivered to drive-through patrons, I eventually got my food....
