Original Joe's — Restaurant in Stony Plain

Last time I was at this location it was great, today I had a bad experience. One waitress serving the patio and the restaurant, im sure everyone felt ignored, we waited 8minutes before she approached our table and asked us what we wanted to drink, we ordered drinks and food at once. My food came and they had given me the wrong soup, no problem she went to get it switched. I picked up my Cajun chicken sandwich and the top of the bun was hard, only to turn it over and find 2 mould spots on the bottom of the bun. The fries were also way overcooked, apparently this is an ongoing problem at this location, When she got back and I showed her the mould she asked me if I wanted the meal re-made….well duh…..my friend was done her meal before my new food came out and although not mouldy the bun was still too hard and old to eat so I didn’t eat it and there was no mayo on the sandwich as advertised, the waitress was too busy for me to even try and complain about it: Fries were a bit better and the soup was good. Overall I’m disappointed with the whole experience today and I would advise the manager to let the cook go as he is not OJ’s material and employ more staff on weekday lunch hours so your good servers can be just that. Also there was no compensation offered for receiving mouldy food. We paid full price for our lunch. That’s some pretty bad...

Haven't had a problem the last 3 times I've been there, but today, I hope it was an exception. Terrible service from the get-go. We seated ourselves as per the instructions and that's where the issues began. We sat there for 15 minutes after being passed by a few servers. We were told that our server Michelle is busy but will be with us soon. It took her another 5 minutes to come by to get our drinks started, which was a simple pitcher of beer and a margarita. Somehow it took over 10 minutes to receive that. Not sure how a pitcher and a beer takes that long. The moment received our drinks, we asked to order happy hour snacks, we didn't receive our first serving of simple fries until 30 minutes to receive one portion of fries (it was already cold). Our other snacks came 8 minutes after the fact, and them too were already cold. Our waitress in the meantime did not check up on us at all in that hour, nor asked if we wanted more drinks before happy hour ended.

Terrible experience. There was something not correct with everything we ordered. Wrong food/dips. Wrong drink. Charged for what we ordered but didn't get. Tried to correct with server but kept getting things wrong. Server started to get annoyed, but it was really simple things. Food was sub par tasting. When the dip we ordered finally came it had a soggy napkin in it that dissolved into the dip. When it came time for the bill, as we thought it would be it was wrong, we told the server that we ordered poutine but got normal fries instead, she got annoyed and went to the back. Another server came out and while we were paying she forgot to put in the info of a gift card I had right in front of her. Then proceeded to say she doesn't know how to do a refund. So we paid full price for bad food, wrong items and drinks, and bad service. Will not go back. Do not recommend to anyone. Would give zero stars if I could. Everything about this experience...
