Wing'n It — Restaurant in Stony Plain

I’m not normally one to leave reviews, but the service and food experience I’ve had at this restaurant have not been the best.

The first time we came to “Wing’n It” the service was spotty and at points we felt invisible, but the food was excellent so we could swallow the sub par service.

I can not say the same about our last experience. We sat at our table for close to 15 minutes before any waitress attended to us, and furthermore we found her to be quite rude. Must’ve been a bad day. I don’t want to single anyone out as I get the service industry and how tough it can be, but a little kindness would go a long way.

We shrugged off the waitress as we haven’t been coming for the service anyway, but when our food finally arrived the fries were cold and stale, and the burger was tasteless. We were one of two parties in the restaurant so I’m not sure why a little more time and care couldn’t have gone into our food. We are not the type to complain and send anything back, but the waitresses demeanour made us feel like we couldn’t say anything at risk of angering her even further.

I’m not looking for anyone to get sacked, or in trouble. I think the potential for your restaurant is great! The burger I had upon my first visit was phenomenal, but the spotty food quality and customer service has left a sour taste...

I didn't know what to expect. What I first noticed was an interior that was decorated like a trendy bar, but bright like a fast food place. Then we sat in a booth. Boom. Don't let the padding look of the seats fool you. They are vinyl wrapped concrete. Sit gently. We asked for help on the totally overwhelming menu. Unfortunately, the help wasn't, um, very helpful. I don't blame the waitress. But instead the menu with seemingly countless choices as we wanted to speed our stay before our behinds went into deep sleep. But we persevered the menu and ordered. The wings were large and tasty. However we were left guessing what flavours we ordered as we made laps around the serving platters. With a couple adjustments, this could be a good place. It’s a long story from start to finish by basically I have continued to give this place a second chance after epically failing every time. One experience was when it took them over 45 mins after taking our orders to come back and tell us they DID NOT have the meat for the special my husband ordered. After he picked a new item 10 mins later they informed me they didn’t have the perogies for my order. We decided to leave as there was no excuse to take that long to inform us of that. Especially when there was only one other customer there. And now I just found out they took away the gomer wings….. of course the wings didn’t take off during a PANDEMIC.
