So once again taking to Google to voice my issues with swiss chalet. We went in on Dec 30th. Prices have already been raised to compensate for the hike in minimum wage. This is unacceptable as minimum wage doesn't come into effect until Jan 1. The fries were once again undercooked and our chicken was dry. This was the last straw for us. We will not be back. Service at both the take out and in dinning room are declining. I'll only comment on the two most recent experiences though as I don't want my review to be too long. Take-out: we ordered online and we're told our order would be ready by a certain time. This lead us to believe there was a time guarantee. When I said something to the manager herself was rude and called me a liar saying the call centre would say that. He also claimed that they are too busy to get orders out in the time frame given by the call centre. He was rude arrogant and dismissive.
We went in tonight and we're sat in Dana's section. We both ordered ribs and wings. She told my husband that he didn't want bbq sauce for his wings when in fact this is what he was ordering. She also assumed we wanted side ribs. She didn't ask us so that's what we got. Note we would have ordered back ribs but didn't realize she neglected to ask us until she was long gone. She did the same with the bunch bringing us white instead of multi grain. My drink also sat empty on the edge of the table as she walked past 3 times (at least 10 minutes) before bringing me a new one. So so disappointed with services...
Read moreWay too expensive for what we got. Ordered vegetarian pot pie because it was only vegetarian option besides just getting a started or salad which isnt really a great choice when wanting a meal. Pot pie sounded good but when got it it tasted more like getting just a can of soup at a grocery store. The coffee was mediocre ... husband ordered a chicken dinner.. he said chicken was dry and not great. I got side order of garlic beans. Could not taste the garlic at all... only had a slight garlic smell but no taste. They didn't even remove the stems from the beans so had to pick every individual one off or else have a very unpleasant chew to it. The beans themselves were also very chewy and not good. Neither of us finished our plates... we wanted a refund since it was over $50 for poor quality meals.. wasnt busy in their either . was only us and 1 other couple there, was on valentines. .. we didn't ask for it because we hate to cause a fuss.. but we both agree that we will not be spending money here again. Was a waste. Seems like quality of this place has really gone down hill. We used to come here fairly often for good number or years,,, seems like after covid it has really flopped... sorry about the nasty review but really just...
Read moreWe went here at the dinner hour on Saturday, November 9th. It was very busy but I was surprised the 3 of us were seated in under 10 minutes. That was around 5:30pm. We ordered shortly after that at about 5:40pm. Then waited and waited and WAITED for our food to come. We didn't get our food till around 6:20pm! I ordered one of their "Festive" meals that includes a box of 5 Lindor chocolates and a scratch ticket (both of which you get at the end with your bill). I got the 1/3 rack of ribs and quarter chicken "Festive" meal which also includes about a tablespoon of stuffing and a teaspoon of cranberry sauce along with roll and fries. The ribs and chicken were really good. But as I was almost done the chicken I realized that I got a wing. But the wing was small and badly charred. I tried to eat some of it but the meat was dry and had too much char on it. So kind of a bad ending to a good meal. The other two in my party got the quesadilla and chicken pot pie, both of which were good I was told. The last time we went to Swiss Chalet here was a couple of months ago. That time was good except for they forgot my Chalet sauce! But yesterday was unacceptable with the long wait and charred...
