A friend and I went there on Saturday for lunch. The environment was clean and it wasn't too busy. We were Greeted without a smile, everyone looked miserable, including the girl behind the person taking our order, bot sure if she was an order runner but I'm sure there were other things she could have been doing at that time than just standing there staring into space looking miserable. I got my food, found a table and sat down . My friend soon after joined me with his tray of food. I looked at his burger as I assumed he got the same order as me as we often do and asked what he got. He said I got the same thing as you, I looked at him with a puzzled face and told him that his burger still in the wrapper didn't look like mine. When he opened it I was correct. They gave him the wrong burger. He brought it back up, told the server what happened, they apologized and made him a new one right away..he waited longer to have someone give him the freshly made burger than it did to make it. After tire of waiting, he asked if someone can please hand him his burger. After his return, we began eating. My burger lacked any flavor and literally tasted like burnt meat after putting a ton of ketchup on it, it had mayo, it just tasted like burnt meat..it wasn't burnt itself, just the taste. My friend agreed. We concluded that the grill was not cleaned off as frequent as it should have been and the patties were not seasoned. Disappointed, we ate our food anyway as to had already dealt with the initial mess up. We won't be...
Read moreHere's the thing about this particular Wendy's. There is always something that isn't right. Always.
We openly joke about it before we begrudgingly decide to give the place another whirl. Sometimes there are multiple things. But we always leave or finish our meal thinking that we'll never be back.
The Drive-Thru crawls. The dine in area is consistently messy. Order accuracy is abysmal and the freshness is always something to be desired.
Let me give you our most recent example:
I placed a mobile order for a Kids Meal Hamburger, a Dave's Double and some nuggets. The Drive-Thru was empty and it didn't look like there were a lot of people in the store when we arrived. The food took ~10 minutes to come out to the curb side spot.
Then the real fun began.
My daughters hamburger meal had cheese on it. We didn't order one with cheese. So back we went into the now busy Drive-Thru to sort it out. Staff were friendly enough and gave us a new burger. That took around another 5-7 minutes.
Thinking that was the end of our usual sub par experience and the kids were happily munching on their food... it wasn't until we were a few kilometers from the store when I finally opened my burger. It was a single instead of a double and the toppings were wrong. Then we noticed there were no spoons in any of the bags for the Frostys and the large size fries had a laughable amount in the box.
Until the next time we cave and go...
Read moreI loved the food, but the service was rather ridiculous. I had 2 drinks on my tray and rearranged them the way I wanted in order to carry my tray with more ease, but the cashier (an older man) bluntly and rudely told me: "mmm, drinks ALWAYS go on the right side of the tray.'" Sorry, but how is this going to help me carry my tray to a table without worrying about everything dropping on the floor. When I have 2 drinks on my tray, I place one drink on the bottom left hand corner of the tray and one drink on the upper right hand corner of the tray in order to balance the weight. When 2 drinks (which are way heavier than the food) is placed on one side of the tray and the food on the other side of the tray, you are not well balanced and that is when people will drop their whole tray on the floor because the weight of the drinks was too much for them to handle. I will never visit that Wendy's simply because I found that man to be very annoying and rude towards people. Also, he spent more time chatting away with seniors who were just standing nearby than talking to us who were placing orders. Again, very...
