We have been ordering from Bucky's Pizza regularly for about year & a half. We have always had excellent, delicious pizza until last week. I have referred this business to many people.
We ordered our usual 2 pizzas & they were very busy so delivery took about 1 hr 45 mins. We opened the pizza & I immediately commented to my wife that the pizza didn't look as cooked as usual. Regardless we ate it & it tasted fine.
Both my wife & I had been working all day & had eaten nothing else similar than their pizza that day. After going to bed we both woke up with sore stomachs around the same time. This turned into vomiting all of our dinner & diarrhea throughout the night on & off. Neither of us slept much. I had the chills so bad at one point that 3 layers of clothing & being in bed could not keep me warm. The next day I was a complete mess; could not eat & water went straight through me.
I've had food poisoning before. So has my wife. This was the worst time for me, in fact maybe the worst I've ever felt sick in my life. My wife wasn't as bad as she didn't eat as much pizza as me. Our child did not get sick nor did he have any pizza.
I called the business to inform them of what happened. All we wanted was to let them know so that others don't get sick, get an apology & maybe be given a refund on our order. What I got was the exact opposite. He told me it wasn't possible because "any bacteria in their food is cooked off in their high temp ovens". His words. I tried to explain that their pizza was the only thing we ate & that all the symptoms are food poisoning. He denied, denied, denied & did not offer any sympathy. I was not aggressive or angry & yet he eventually said he was too busy & hung up on me.
We have loved eating Bucky's pizza but obviously can't order here again. It would not surprise me if this is a one off thing since we have eaten here so many times. When you are serving food in a busy, high volume restaurant with multiple staff, it is possible to make a mistake. Had the owner handled my call better this updated review would most likely...
Read moreUpon taking my first bite of The Mediterranean pizza, I knew that I was in the presence of culinary excellence. The house-made pizza sauce provided the perfect base, its tangy notes balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the roasted garlic and the savory flavors of the red onion and sun-dried tomatoes.
But it was the feta that truly elevated this pizza to a level of gourmet perfection. Its creamy, tangy flavor provided the ideal complement to the other ingredients, adding an extra layer of richness and depth to each bite.
And the cheese, oh the cheese. The homemade blend of mozzarella was a revelation. Stretchy, gooey, and perfectly melt-y, it coated every inch of the pizza with a blanket of cheesy goodness that made it impossible to resist taking bite after bite.
But what really set The Mediterranean apart was the quality of the ingredients themselves. Every element of this pizza was clearly carefully sourced and prepared, with a level of attention to detail that was nothing short of remarkable. It was evident that the chef had a deep understanding of how each ingredient worked together to create a harmonious, delicious whole.
Overall, The Mediterranean pizza was a true masterpiece of flavor and artistry. It's the kind of dish that you would expect to find in the finest three-star Michelin restaurants, and yet, here it was, available for all to enjoy. If you're a lover of pizza, of Mediterranean flavors, or simply of incredible food, then you simply must try this dish. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
PS: I requested personal customizations and they went over and beyond to delivering my pizza exactly...
Read moreBest quality pizza and exceptional customer service. I went to this somewhat hidden pizza place two days ago and it did not disappoint. Lots of variety on the menu, and the gentleman that helped me was super nice. It's giving family business vibes, and because of the layout you could really see everyone working hard on making the ingredients.
I got the pesto chicken and it tasted super freesh and the cheese tasted real and authentic.
It took 25 mins which is longer than chains, but that's probably because it was real quality pizza.
It was also a few dollars more expensive, but again, I'd pay that for quality good tasting food.
My only advice for owners is have some signs or something to increase visibility. I see you have over 300 reviews so maybe you're doing just fine, but because the location is hidden I just feel like it needs more...
