My family and I always enjoy the food here. Although the meats are not always at its best. Its still an ok place to go to if your craving Korean food and you do not feel like driving out of Surrey. I have just noticed one thing about this place. When you order certian dishes to dine in you receive all the sides, but when you order the same items to go. They do not give all the side, but still charge you the same amount of money as dine-in. On April 13th 2023. I decided to order the So Bul GO GI (B4) when I checked the bag all I got was the meat, steam rice and soya sauce, when I questioned the lady taking my order, she tells me that the sides do not come for takeout. I questioned her as to why am I paying the same amount as dine-in if i'm not receiving all the sides, she tells me that's how the owner set it up. When I asked her for a side of Kimchi she ask me pay an extra $. Was very dissapointed. So be aware that if you do takeout you pay the same price as dine-in but you do not get all the sides. This place is ripping off their customers & to top it all they charge .25cents for a bag, which is fine if they gave all the sides for the same money you pay for dine-in. Since it was'nt really her policy. I sill tipped her 20% but highly doubt it that we...
Read moreBasic service for food was the worst. We asked if they could make the steamed egg less salty for our infant baby and the server said we don't need worry about it because they put very little salt in it. So we ordered the steamed egg. But when we got the steamed egg, it was too salty. Therefore, we called another server and explained the situation. She made an apology and told us that she would tell the kitchen and get us a new one with less salt or no salt. And after a while, a man who seemed to be the owner of the restaurant came and told us that it was impossible to make it less salty because they premake the steamed egg. So we said ok... and he left. After about ten minute, he came back and asked whether we still want the steamed eggs or not. We told him that we do not want it but then he said that he would charge us anyway. We were very unhappy with his attitude but we had to get our steamed egg back because we do not want to waste our money. He brought the steamed egg back which was left out in their kitchen for more than 30 minutes. It was all dried and came back to us cold. Would you eat food brought back from the kitchen 30 minutes later during this Covid season? Also, how hard is it to make a steamed egg without or less salt? It wasn't...
Read moreI took my Korean friends to this place after seeing a lot of rave reviews. I feel like this restaurant is not authentic because the servers are Vietnamese and don't quite speak Korean, so they didn't fully understand what my friends said. Don't get me wrong, they were very attentive and the service was decent. I'm not racist and I don't judge the restaurant by the servers' race. However, I think the authenticity is reflected in the people they hire and the music they play (which wasn't K-pop). We ordered a set meal for 3-4 people. I admit that the portion was huge because we had a lot of leftovers to take home. Or maybe the food was bad, and my Korean friends didn't eat much? My friend told me that they marinated their BBQ to be sweeter than authentic Korean BBQ, which I agreed with. The seafood pancake was the worst; it was twice as thick as normal and filled with flour. The choices of small side dishes were a bit disappointing too. All in all, this is the place to go if you want a good portion of food and don't mind the lack of authenticity. For me, I probably won't go back since I know there are a lot of...
