Freshslice Pizza — Restaurant in Surrey

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this Freshslice location. I placed my order through the app and received a notification that it was ready (15min after ordering which is already longer than other locations) However, when I arrived, I still had to wait an additional 14 minutes. This is completely unacceptable, especially since this has not been my experience with Freshslice in the past. When the app says the order is ready, it should be ready.

To make matters worse, they tried to hand me a pizza that wasn’t even my order. But the most appalling part of the experience was how they handled my specific request for a clean knife. I saw the staff member use a clean knife on one pizza but then a dirty knife on the other, even though it was clear from my order notes that this was a critical request. She deliberately tried to pass off both pizzas, clearly hoping I wouldn’t notice.

This is beyond disrespectful. As a Muslim, it’s a significant issue for me, as that knife was contaminated with pork in front of my eyes. This wasn’t an accident or oversight—it was intentional, as she acknowledged the request but chose to disregard it since pizza was "same" from another order.

It was the worst experience ever. I hate to say this but we couldn’t even enjoy single slice of the pizza and on top of it, pathetic customer service. Employees have no idea how to talk to customers. Firstly she gave us large pizza instead of medium (the size which we actually ordered), on addressing the same, the employee who took the order got so defensive and refused to agree and we eventually said that it was okay and carried on. Later, we started eating the pizza which had 8 slices mix of 3 different flavours (pesto, cheese and veggie). The pesto slices were extremely salty but we ignored them and moved on to the veggie ones which were eatable but not fresh at all. When we started with cheese slices, they again were super salty that we had to go back to the girls at the counter. Again, the same girl who took our order (I wish we took her name) was extremely rude and was denying the fact that it has salt saying we don’t even put salt in it and blamed us for having unnecessary issues, all annoyed she said take 3 more slices to which we refused. We weren’t interested in free pizza, just wanted to let them know so that they can fix it in case there’s an issue. Lastly she added you can complain anywhere you want to, I don’t care and just to mention not once we said we’ll complain about her, if we wanted to we would have taken her name. By far one of the worst customer service experiences ever, and worst fresh slice food experience. Asked the lady making pizzas when our order would be ready, and she directed me to a worker (Mary) handling a big line of customers that said she told us 15-20 minutes, despite us already have been waiting for 20. The woman at the counter named Mary, spoke with a really rude and dismaying tone, doubling down that she took our order telling us that it would take around 15 mins which, she never said. We waited at the front watching others receive their food first 15 mins after we ordered and kept standing for another 15 mins. At the time I am writing this review it has hit the 30 minute mark. People sitting next to us has come and gone, and our pizza is apparently still not done yet. We see them putting multiple pizzas into the oven just for it to be empty and turned off. The lady making the pizzas is just making random ones (ours is no where to be seen) that are eventually thrown into the back to who knows where. The oven is clearly turned off except for the small one for heating slices up. Food is exceptionally bad, and messy. The middle clearly had too much barbecue sauce and tasted not well. The cheese tastes old and grainy. BBQ sauce overwhelmed other flavours, and there was too much ranch on the pie overall...
