The Barn Country Bar — Restaurant in Surrey

I need to do a big shoutout to the Sat night staff!!! I was in charge of my sisters 40th bday. I got stuck on the island with vehicle issues and thus missed an important email stating i didnt have a confirmed reso (it went to my junk folder) and was on the ferry when my brother called me in a panic we had no reso for 10 people at 630pm. Que my Oh no what did i do moment. Your staff scrambled to set up for us and accommodate our party. I was supposed to have decorations and fanfare. I had NOTHING due to the delay and i was even 1 hour late to the party....when i walked in i saw 40th bday balloons and decorations MUCH to my delight your staff had some laying around from previous night and gave them to our table!!!! You guys saved my bacon HUGE and gave my sister the best bday ever. I have worked industry 25 years in one capacity or another (currently only bartend, but have been a restaurant manager before) and you guys really pulled this together. I know we threw a wrench in the servers night having our party come in and she banged it out of the park. My hubby ended up with a dead beer (had a chip in the top and was totally skunked) your bartender apologized and changed it out effortlessly which was nice. I didnt even know you guys did live music and was pleasantly surprised the band was one of our Favourites Whiskey blind which just elevated the night totally!!! I looked like a rockstar my sister was given the best night ever and i owe it all to you guys! Your staff were very much "old school" club if that makes sense and looked like they enjoy working there. At one point i was looking for my daughter our server saw me scanning the crowd.. asked if i was looking for the blonde, i said yes my daughter she told me exactly where she was this was at midnight while it was crazy busy she saved me running all around looking on the bottom floor while we were seated on top floor and ready to go. I hope our server felt taken care of by everyone in our party because she sure took care of us! The skeetball was a very nice touch as we are all competitive and it spawned a fun tournament with our table. The food was very tasty and the fact we could all order late and at different times really helped as we had different times people were coming in and out. This place gave me an amazing night of music, drinks, conversation, and friendship.

We are wonderers of our own lives. And mine lucky enough got to come to the Barn Country Bar. After being around the country. And seeing everything we all have to offer. This places exceeds expectations. 5 stars…. That’s a recommendation for this place at best. It deserves a 7 star.

I walked in and met Owen. He’s the owner and the brother is awesome. He got you like he got me. Come and enjoy!

Me being me I did take the back reserved table. But I wanted a bar seat. I had my first drink severed by Noah. And best of all he told me take the seat I wanted. He loves Star Wars so you know we got along.

For food I only got some of the appetizers. But between you and me. How does he say it…. FLAVOUR TOWN!!!!! You know what I’m Saying.

OMFG. SO GOOD

I got the shrimp. Forgot the name of them. But it was delicious. Like most places that are shitty and just have microwaved shrimp with HR sweet and spicy sauce. Well this place has the best I ever had shrimp on an appy menu. You have to get it. YOU HAVE TO. The spice is medium, but the cream of the sauce. That is what I will come back for. Ok think of most places. They have Walmart Thai chilli. This place has a better flavour. But with the most succulent cream chilli you ever spread on any shrimp. I will have this again

I also got the rattlesnake stake bites, small bites of beef packed with flavour. Comes with some horseradish too. The sizes and bites were awesome. And with that little added touch of heat from the horseradish was a plus for this dish.

I did ask for chicken wings but they did run out of honey garlic but Noah being the epic server he was suggested the sweet and tangy/hot wing sauce. And holy crap it was bang on. The wings were fried to crispy perfection. Each bite I was like I want more.

For a country bar in the middle of Surrey. This place is more than banging on. It’s frigging banging. And you need to come and get some food or in my case get your dance on.

One of the highlights of my visits is definitely their Happy Hour menu, which is exclusively available from 3pm - 6pm. Let me tell you, the selection is fantastic! From refreshing cocktails (personal fav the barn soda) to mouthwatering bites, it’s the perfect way to kick off your night. And speaking of bites, you absolutely must try the deep-fried cheese curds! (Happy hour only) These golden, crispy delights are so gooey and delicious that they practically disappear off the plate. Trust me, you won’t be able to stop at just one!

The atmosphere at The Barn is nothing short of welcoming. The staff here are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home the moment you step through the door. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, they treat everyone like family, making your experience even more enjoyable.

And if you're looking to add a little spice to your night, don’t miss out on the line dancing lessons fridays from 9pm- 10pm ! They are such a blast! The instructor is so enthusiastic and makes it easy to learn, even for those of who have two left feet. It's a fantastic way to meet new people and have a few laughs while mastering some classic moves.

I’ve taken my kids in for food and they loved the corn dogs! Kids can come till 8pm. We have gone for dinner a few times.
