Taco Bell — Restaurant in Surrey

every time I order from this taco bell, in person, delivery or otherwise: either a huge chunk of my order is missing or my entire order is wrong. If it werent for it being the only taco bell around easily accessable id be avoiding it at all costs, but cest la vie i guess.. this is the worst order yet. I ordered a triple double crunchwrap with fries, cinnatwists, baja blast & crispy beef taco, plus 4 tacos (two soft & two crispy cantinas) for my friend, with a side of cabbage & sour cream for me two of the tacos + the side sour cream & red cabbage were missing (the two soft tacos), the crunchwrap had no beef & the baja blast was purposefully tampered with by the driver, ripped off seal & damaged top. There was some sort of liquid added that made it incredibly bitter & cinnamony (ontop of the fact i can tell the workers havent changed their fountain drink system as it was just green tonic soda, which means the flavoring syrup hasnt been replaced yet) so I decided not to drink at all in case of tampering. we only got a refund for 1 of the tacos missing & the sides which really sucks as we usually only buy fastfood like this as treats now a days & now we're out of a chunk of food & money on a night where we're pretty starving. After enduring a lengthy wait to place our order, during which we were subjected to the manager loudly reprimanding an employee who was struggling to get our order right, we finally got our order placed after five minutes of listening to the manager scream “BLACK BEAN CRUNCHWRAP” to the helpless trainee, ultimately giving up and accepting whatever they put into the system. In addition to the Taco Bell I decided to get the plant based burger which is one of my favourite items to get from KFC. The burger I was served was paradoxically both excessively wet and extremely dry, resembling a fried eraser covered in a slimy substance labeled as "mayo." The addition of wilted lettuce further detracted from the experience, contributing to a taste that was simultaneously bland and overwhelming, as if it had been retrieved from the floor after several days under the fryer.

As I write this review, I am waiting for my order from the Taco Bell, which shares a space with the KFC where I received the aforementioned burger. Despite there being about 40 people working in the kitchen and only 5 customers in the restaurant, my wait time has been approximately 35 minutes, and 6 customers have received their order before me and my friend which is notably impressive given the circumstances. After asking the worker an update on our food it turns out it was just sitting on the table.

This was one of the worst Taco Bell experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered a Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito, only to receive something barely the size of my palm. For the price, I expected a decent portion—especially since I asked (and paid) for double steak, which was completely missing. Either the wrong tortilla was used, or they just skimped on the ingredients, but the end result was extremely disappointing.

The chalupa was another letdown—it wasn’t even deep-fried, which is supposed to be what makes a chalupa special in the first place. On top of that, the lack of fries in the order was frustrating. For nearly $30 between my wife’s value meal and my combo, the quality and quantity were nowhere near worth it. Experiences like this are exactly why I’ve given up on fast food.

To make matters worse, the staff didn’t inspire any confidence. While wearing gloves, they were still touching each other’s backs, which defeats the whole point of food safety standards. Gloves are meant to protect the food, not be used as an excuse for careless handling.

And when I called the store afterward to bring up these issues, nobody even answered the phone. It’s bad enough the food was terrible, but the complete lack of customer service made it even worse.
