I usually try to support all smaller businesses whenever I see them, but not the most appreciative when one tries to a pull fast one for some extra bucks. First visit here. Won’t be back.
At the drive-thru, a young lady was taking my order. In the middle of my order, an older lady budged in and took over my order, in a clear hurry. I asked her if it was okay to replace the beef in my fries with chicken (protein swap). She urgently replied “Yes, yes…” and I pulled up to the drive-thru window.
When I arrived at the window, the older lady was walking away from the till, and I was left with the original young lady. When I heard $24 for my order for one, I kindly asked for the receipt (nothing wrong with asking). After a couple of asks, I got a hold of my receipt to which I saw a $4 add for chicken on a regular fries. I asked for a swap, which she agreed to. Nothing regarding prices was mentioned, and it’s a bit odd to see some chicken being just as expensive as a special fries order.
The cashier simply replied “Chicken is expensive”, and another man stated, “We already think you know our menu”. Their drive-thru has no screen, and their staff doesn’t care about clarifying info. Aside from this, they don’t value honesty, and resort to debating with customers, which is the last thing I wanted.
Again, I’m a big supporter of small businesses within the city of Surrey, but I was greatly turned off by the unprofessionalism of this staff.
Hopefully, this won’t continue in the...
Read moreAs a vegetarian, burritos are my favourite fast food. Taco time has always been my go to place, however after the food and service I received today I will no longer patronize this location.
I ordered a large burrito, pictures attached, and received the smallest burrito to date from any taco time location, even smaller than some of the regular burritos I’ve gotten in the past. The portion of the deluxe mexi-fries has also gotten smaller with their new packaging now but that I can let slide. The customer service I received today is what made me take the time out of my day to leave this review. I know working as a fast food worker is tough, I’ve worked at a busy Tim Hortons for a couple years, trust me I get it. However when a customer greets and converses with a friendly demeanour, there is no need to be rude.
Please talk to staff about not berating a customer for forgetting a word when they described to you what they wanted and you understood. I’m a human, I forget what things are called sometimes and that’s okay.
I spent $15 on lunch today, a rare treat for me as it was a Friday, that didn’t even fill me up and felt awful about how I was treated for forgetting a word. You will never see me here again and I will advise my family to avoid this location...
Read moreMy grandson picked up 2 tacos and crispy bean burrito. I thought it tasted old, and because I was starved ate around 1/2. And my grandson had 2 bites of my burrito. About an hour laster our stomach was gurgling. Then came the severe vomiting and diarrhea. Both myself and my 8yr old grandson were throwing up ALL night. I call manager Raj, the next day. She was rude, and argumentative. Kept interrupting, when I was trying to discuss this with her. She practically called me a liar. She insisted it takes forty eight hours to get food poisoning. I told her I just got my food safe. And that is not true, and she said she had her food safe as well, but had no idea anything about food poisoning. I have been going to this location for over twenty years. I feel they definitely don't care if you get ill from their food. She didn't even offer to refund my money. Do yourself a favor and...
