This is a very small place, seems like a tiny diner, just a handful of booths. But everything clean, even washrooms seem to be in decent order. Serice was very friendly, no complaints whatsoever. The food ... took a little bit of time to come considering we were the only ones but not complaining if they are making from scratch. And sure enough, the food was delicious. We had a couple of appetizers which we had not eaten elsewhere, a chicken tikka, paneer and a couple of lunch specials. Everything was spiced perfectly, not too much, just enough to make it a little exciting for one who doesn't have the typical Indian or Korean palates. In the paneer dish, there were peppers and onions in it which still retained a perfect amount of crunch. Naan and prata was very nice and generous portions of the naan compared to other places. We were quite full after the meal. The true test comes, of course, a few hours later and I'm glad to report I didn't feel bloated or tired or any other sort of adverse effects. To be honest, I don't know the standards of the restaurants in the nearby area, but of all the ones I've had in the greater metropolitan area, I would rate this near the top for quality of food. I would highly recommend this one, everything is delicious and fresh and with the decent service, this is one I wouldn't mind returning to. Just keep in mind it might be tough to fit in more than about 6 people in one booth if you have a...
Read moreBest Indian food by far! I ordered takeout for a family members 50th birthday dinner, at thier suggestion. I needed to choose a place, so I looked at reviews and discovered this one, and decided to go for it. I am so glad I did! Everyone loved it ...raved about it actually. We ordered Chicken Tika kabobs, Fish Tika kabobs, Butter Chicken, Shahi Paneer (at the recommnedation of the restaurant), Mali Kofta, Veggie Samosas, Veggie Pakoras, Garlic Naan, and Basmati Rice. Every dish was so fresh and flavourful, with its own unique flavor. The food was very clean, not oily or too salty like other places I have tried. I actually feel like I like Indian food again, after being turned off it in the past, due to unpleasant experiences at some other places. The young woman who served me was so attentive and sweet, and she even carried my food to my car without me asking, because I had 4 bags of it. I will definatley return, and my family members all asked for the name and address so they can go too. Keep up the good work! I am in love with the garlic naans and shahi paneer and will need to have it again...
Read moreWe have been going to this quiet little place near Fraser Highway and 168th in Surrey for several months. We usually dine in, but have also have done take out. It doesn't change the fabulous quality of the food. When we dine in, we always try to go in when this one girl is working. It took me this long to find out her name, and that is Simran. I would have to say that we probably would only do take out if she wasn't there. She is a great asset to this restaurant. If we want to try something new, she will suggest items to us, and we have loved everything she has suggested. Simran has always got a smile to greet us and a very cheerful demeanor. Her service is very timely, and quick. She checks to be sure we are enjoying our meal, just the right amount. Not overly frequent and not at all infrequent. Overall, we feel that she makes this restaurant what it is....a GREAT place to go. The atmosphere and quality of service is always more valuable than the...
