My family came to this place as we saw the former Indian restaurant (VJ Chef's Kitchen) had closed down and was replaced with a Taiwanese restaurant.
The layout was the same as the Indian restaurant and the server was friendly. We ordered the following items: Fried rice with deep fried chicken nuggets Soy sauce-braised beef broth with noodles and beef plate (non-spicy) Marinated beef with soy paste and black vinegar (non-spicy)
The portions for the food were pretty big. Both noodle dishes were pretty good considering we are in Surrey. The beef was soft, tender and had good flavour. The broth was less desirable as it didn't taste like actual Taiwanese beef broth (which they don't claim). Noodle - it wasn't a soy sauce or spices based soup like the typical ones you had around Vancouver. Not bad, but not good either. It's very oily, could be the chilly oil that's added. It's still missing the meaty flavour in the soup, and the beef itself seem off to me, missing flavor.
Lastly, the marinade intestines. They are generally a thicker cuts, no gamy taste. Would be best if they could use the traditional thick soy sauce with garlic instead just plain...
