I am delighted to write a heartfelt and emotional review for the Sunflower Cafe, nestled in the picturesque location of Crescent Beach in Surrey. If you are a coffee and muffin enthusiast, then Sunflower Cafe is the perfect place for you.
Let me start by saying that the muffins at Sunflower Cafe are a must-try. They are freshly baked and served warm with a side of butter, which just melts in your mouth. The first bite of these delicious muffins is enough to transport you to a world of heavenly delights. The texture is perfect, and the aroma is so enticing that you can't resist yourself from taking another bite.
The coffee at Sunflower Cafe is equally impressive, and the perfect accompaniment to their muffins. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafts through the air, and the taste is simply divine. Each sip of the coffee is like a warm embrace, and it fills you with a sense of comfort and happiness.
The ambiance of the Sunflower Cafe is cozy and welcoming. The staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable, and they create an environment that makes you feel like you are at home. Whether you are there for a quick coffee or a leisurely breakfast, the experience is simply unforgettable.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a place that offers delicious muffins and great coffee, look no further than the Sunflower Cafe. Their warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with their scrumptious muffins and excellent coffee, makes for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a little piece of...
Read moreEdit: Finally made it back to Vancouver. Went for a nice walk on cresent beach on a cold and rainy day. Walked up to the cafe at 2:02pm. My fault for not checking the hours. I could not believe they close at 2. They would not serve us. Not their fault but I would definitely expect a place like this to be open a little later than 2. Also, how could you not just serve one last group at 2:02? I guess I will have to miss this place a little longer, end of new edit. how I miss this place, we don't go to Vancouver as often as we used to, next time we are there I am going out of my way to grab a panini! Still my favourite coffee shop ever. It is a must visit place for me whenever I'm in town. The staff is super friendly, love the vibe of this cozy little shop. I get the Chicken Panini, amazing. The bread is perfectly crispy on the outside but pillowy soft as you bite, the perfect blend of textures. It's packed with cheese, pesto and sun dried tomatoes, it is served with a dipping sauce that finishes the sandwich off perfectly. I've literally never had a better Panini in my life. Their freshly baked bran muffins fly off their shelf too, and for good reason, packed full of nutrients and fresh fruit, they are great alone or with a small dollop of butter. They serve Salt Spring Coffee, not my favourite coffee but still one of the best in BC. I hope to own a coffee shop like the...
Read moreI really hate to leave a review like this, but my experience at the Sun Flower Café left me feeling disappointed and unlikely to return. The café advertises being dog-friendly, which is true, but customers with dogs are required to order through the outside window. That in itself is perfectly reasonable, but the way the window service is managed was very frustrating.
I went with a friend, she ordered inside and was served right away, while I waited at the outside window. Logically, I should have been next, but instead the café continued to serve every inside customer first. After waiting more than 20 minutes with no acknowledgment (even after politely calling out to staff), I eventually gave up and left. To make things worse, people who had lined up behind me ended up going inside and were served before me.
If the café is going to encourage customers to use the outside window, I think it would make sense to have two tills or staff rotate between inside and outside. At the very least, alternating between inside and window customers would prevent people waiting outside from being ignored.
I hope this feedback is taken as a learning opportunity, because it’s a lovely idea to be dog-friendly, but the execution unfortunately made for a very discouraging experience.
I now see that others have left similar reviews in relation to the frustration I experienced...
