Just went today on a date to this new restaurant that opened up a few days ago, and I can't say there is one thing I can pick out that is bad the whole experience was amazing the people are so friendly and kind and very helpful and the food is amazing best sushi I have ever had!!!😍 you can tell all the ingredients are so fresh and I never enjoyed Sushi this much as I have today! I highly recommend this place especially if you have never tried Sushi I say you should give it a try at this new sushi restaurant!❤️ and it's at pretty reasonable prices and that they are so sweet they even gave us a free try of a torched tuna sushi ( I forget the name of it😅) and it was so delicious it was like it melted in your mouth🤤 even though I am full I still crave it to this very minute after eating😊 I can just say me and my boyfriend will be for sure going back to this very sushi restaurant for many times because it is so delicious and I would say this is probably one of our favorite restaurants now!🥰 I would say my most favorite that I did get to try on my first visit was the torched tuna one and the Kame crunch❤️ as again I say I highly recommend this place if you are reading this!💖 I even had leftovers😍

10 out of 10 food. Unlike most Japanese sushi places in North America, where sushi is often covered with far too much sweet mayo or overly sweet soy sauce, Kame no Mori delivers a true nigiri experience. The chef uses light seasoning that allows the original flavours of the fresh ingredients to shine through. I can’t praise the Kame Combo enough. The salmon and aburi (flame-seared) salmon both had the perfect amount of fat, allowing the flavours to stand out beautifully. The ama ebi with egg was another highlight—the egg was soft, tender, and perfectly seasoned, enhancing the sweetness of the prawn to another level. Most importantly, the soy sauce here is unlike most others. It’s lighter in salt, has a gentle sweet aftertaste, and reveals the clear, deep flavour of fermented soybeans as a subtle third note. This is definitely one of the best places in Sussex, and they’ve only opened recently. Well done, and thank you!

Absolutely loving Kami No Mori! Their food selection is excellent, even for someone like me who doesn’t have much of a taste for sushi. All of their rice and noodles dishes are friendly for those who are in the same boat as me, and their sushi does not go unnoticed either. As their main attraction, those who eat with me who would consider themselves avid sushi enjoyers have all gave them high praises for their selection. Erika is a true joy to be served by! On top of her excellent service, every time I’ve visited I’ve been able to learn more and more about her life, and have enjoyed being able to get to know the staff as a result of it. Their hospitality is truly something special! Give it a try, whether sushi is something you enjoy or not. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! - Tristen

My wife and I came here in mid-August. The sushi was the best I’ve had anywhere. The staff were kind and attentive. We struck up a conversation and they said they only opened a few weeks ago. They were looking for any feedback, but I literally had no criticism for them! I had one of the crab rolls, she had some avocado rolls. We had some miso soup which was great also. Later, they brought out some other stuff to try (on the house) and it was amazing. They said they felt bad that there weren’t many vegetarian options so they brought out some avocado nigiri for my wife and salmon nigiri for me. I don't even like salmon, or so I thought. It was incredible! The fish was amazing. We loved everything. It was cool seeing the sushi chef (sorry i don't know the proper name) preparing the food for us and others, sometimes using two torches in one hand. When we’re in Sussex visiting, this is as important a stop to us as going to Ms. Dunster’s bakery now that we have tried it. Prices were quite reasonable as well. They seem like a tight-knit family business so I hope you decide to give them a try, they deserve the support. The atmosphere was bright and friendly. Beautiful little spot. I doubt you’ll walk away...

We went for the first time, tonight, for supper. The meal started off with miso soup, I had the Kame tray and my wife had Veggie Goza and the Karaage. The food was AMAZING!!! The service was awesome, with them taking the time to explain what the menu items were and asked what we were looking for, The fish was so fresh, the presentation was lovely and their in-house soy sauce was sweet, not too salty and a hint of smokiness that paired with the tuna and salmon so well. This is really an outstanding place. The chefs also made for us salmon sushi, partially cooked with a torch with the most amazing garlic sauce. The combo of part cooked, part raw salmon, especially with the soy sauce was unbelievable. If you like sushi, rolls or sashimi, etc this is the place to try. It has become my favorite with just one visit. Truly outstanding. I tend not to write reviews very often , but when I do it is because it is special and...
