Out of all the major fast food joints in the area, I geniunely believe that A&W has one of the best burgers you can get - the ingredients are high-quality, the patty is cooked to perfection, and most importantly, the burger is well constructed. I think everyone has their fair share of disappointment, seeing their burger with all of its component askew. While the service is a bit slow, the folks manning the drive-thru window are friendly and very polite. It's easy to forget about this chain due to its odd location, but honestly, do yourself a favour and grab a burger from here - I recommend the Uncle or the Teen burger.

The first place I tried when I arrived in Canada, and without a doubt, I said, wow, how delicious! I'd tried it several times, but it had been a while since I'd bought anything. On Thursday, I went with my husband a little late, and it was truly delicious. It was my husband's first time and he loved everything... the freshness, the texture, the thickness of the meat, the hot fries, the glass of soda, in short, everything. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the service was excellent. I would go back a thousand times more.

The A&W near me on prince St is always kept clean and tidy, including the bathrooms, which is a big deal to me. A&W for sure has the highest quality product as far as fast food places go in my opinion. Biting into the burger or chicken has me totally convinced that they don't use any filler in their meat. Service so far has always been friendly and efficient, getting me my order quickly, without anything tasting like it's been sitting under a heat lamp. They have a small survey you can take after your service to give feedback on the quality of your experience as well which I believe helps incentivize the workers to do their best whenever they can. They've got the beyond meat burger which is a great option for vegetarians, though it is cooked on the same grill as the meat so it isn't vegan friendly which isn't the best. I'm personally a big fan of the sweet potato fries as well, which I haven't found at any other fast food joints. Over all I'd say I'm...

this is the only A&W in sydney area you should EVER go too, Clean, respectful service, the employees KNOW what there doing. WARNING ( 800 GRAND LAKE RD location at mayflower NEVER EVER go there. place is disgusting, employees touch raw uncooked food bare handed and dont clean there hands, or anything, I watched as my food was being made and they went grabed raw chicken put in frier , then made my sandwhich, my fries with the same hands never cleaning them, rang in my money, made my drink and other customers food... and much worse. I didnt eat there never got a refund, BE warned. THIS is the ONLY A&W in industrial cape breton you SHOULD ever eat at. HANDS down best in the area BY FAR. only reason I will even still eat A&W food is because of this location and how they made me...

Bad service probably just bad training. I moved 2 weeks ago to sydney and I've been to this location probably 6 times and it will be my last.

Two times I ended up paying for my free buddy burger (coupon). Not paying attention so it's my fault, but If i ask for something and i give u the coupon I just expect it to go through. Today I went there and ordered a buddy burger and a teen burger combo, said what I wanted on the burger went to the window gave my coupon and money for the combo1. I was given a bag and then told that I didnt order the combo or it didnt go through the system. Three times buying the same thing 1st price 15.50. 2nd 13.09 and today 11.59 (before I got...
