Grill Hut — Restaurant in Sydney

I only come back to this place because I like the food. The service however, not so good. First of, they prioritize their online orders rather than taking care of both online and dine in customers. Last time I was there, I ordered a butter chicken wrap. They made a chicken shawarma wrap instead. No big deal. I told them and they said they'd fix it. I saw the girl take the chicken shawarma wrap and open it up and put the butter chicken sauce inside it and heat it up again. When I asked them if the chicken shawarma and butter chicken wrap have the same toppings, they said said yes (and I knew it wasn't the case). So I took the wrap and sat down and opened it up to confirm. While I did that, the same girl came out and asked if I want them to make a new one. I said yes please as I'm looking at the toppings that clearly was not the same. So she lied about it and thought they can just fix it by putting the sauce. On July 31, 2025 my son and I, coming from 2 hours away, went into our favourite place to eat in Sydney, NS. We’ve been going here since they’ve opened and have always loved it, always giving 5 stars, but now things have changed. This day we went in and there was a tall Indian girl at the cash who seemed perturbed about the bill after taking our order and was showing the shorter girl some bills printed out and the tall manager guy kept looking over door to see what was going on X2. The girls looked worried. It took shorter girl forever to start making our shawarma sandwiches and the lineup was getting huge. She forgot to put garlic sauce on one of my son’s sandwiches, as he had 2, me one with a side of fries and pop and me a tiny Greek salad. It was good but not Oh wow, sooo delicious like we were used to. My son thinks it’s because the chicken from the spit sits too long in the tin.I even fought with people when they said your place was average, so please, do t prove me wrong! Update to my earlier comment: Big thanks to the professionalism of Grill Hut for getting back on my concern. We went again this weekend and had the special box again and it had 3 proteins (shawarma, kofta and kabab) , fries, salad and naan. Thanks for understanding. Changing my rating to 4* specifically for the after-sale service team.

This place was decent though felt a bit pricey for some of their items. My son enjoyed some of their daily combos and was a regular. But recently noticed their quantity was really going low and as of today, he paid 13+ cad for a plate of chickpea salad, two small pieces naan and french fries with very few shreds of chicken with sauce on top.. this used to come with kabaabs which has been obviously removed from the combo.
