My family and I recently went to Dennys on June 19th for my daughters 3rd birthday. When we showed up, we got seated and left for 15 minutes until a manager came to get our drink order. Waited another 20 minutes for us to make an order. Then another 25 minutes for our food to be delivered. That being said, it was NOT busy. A slew of open tables surrounding my family. Kitchen Staff coming to lollygag with workers in the front. While I had to wave someone down for service. Anyways, why I am upset mainly. My daughter has this bright flashing Happy Birthday crown on her. A happy birthday shirt and rainbow tutu... You would think the waitress would make a comment to any regard that this might be a birthday breakfast. Nothing. So I mention it when we order our food in hopes that they can sing her a happy birthday or be nice in any manner. Nothing. We get our food, we do our own little celebration at our table, other customers even chimed in saying Happy Birthday. We get our bill. Notice my girls Birthday Breakfast thats supposedly free is being charged. I mention it yet again to the waitress, she just looked at me blankly. I offer to show her my daughters ID that I'm not trying to get a free meal. At this point, I was done with the lack of celebration Dennys offered. I definitely learned my lesson and unfortunately my girl had to too. I just hope other patrons think about going to Dennys if you want to make your little one feel special because we...
Read moreDenny's are a consistent restaurant. In Terrace there is a few good restaurants and breakfast places.
Despite that when looking at going out to eat Denny's is still first on my list.
I have always loved Denny's (I have 8 different Denny's reviewed) and the price to quality is still ace. Which in this time of inflation is nice.
The staff here are awesome, Gurleen gets special mention, friendly, and quick. They'll fix whatever is wrong, which rarely happens, and ensure your drinks are topped up and that you leave happy.
Coffee is the one weakness of this Denny's, during a rush the chance of getting burnt coffee goes pretty high, they'll of course fix it but it's not a pleasant experience.
I'm a huge fan of the basic Denny's experience and if you like that, then come here.
If you want something better, and much more pepper/onion flavouring, for a bit more Kathleen's Grill is the best breakfast...
Read moreNot impressed. I've been to Denny's many times and this was the worst experience I've had.
The server didn't offer the second member of our party a drink for several minutes. The food came quickly, but we were not offered ketchup or jam/PB for toast.
My hash browns were undercooked and cold inside. When I brought this up I was told that this is normal and I should have asked for them well done. I told the server that I didn't know how they cook potatoes and if there are options, that they should ask. She reluctantly brought a second plate of hash browns, that was cooked almost identically to the first. It also was nearly 15 minutes of waiting and my meal was done when the hash downs arrived.
Coffee was not refilled. The server was obviously busy and was also hosting soayne too much was being expected of her.
All that said, id avoid this Denny's even if you're a fan of...
