At Tripolitania Cafe, their Arabic and Libyan-infused breakfast is an absolute game-changer ( although only served on weekends)! I can't get enough of it—it's like a flavorful journey through the Middle East and Libya. The aroma of freshly baked bread and the sight of colorful plates make it a feast for the senses. Have it along with an addition of Fateera with Honey makes it an even more amazing experience with the tea served in that mini pot ;)
First off, the crepes are a must-try. They're not your average crepes; they're bursting with unique flavors that transport you to a different world l, try adding fruits to the side. And those mini pancakes? Oh boy, they're like fluffy clouds of happiness, perfect for those who enjoy a sweet start to the day add some Nutella and Pistachio Spread and you’re on cloud 9. The presentation of these dishes is something else all thanks to their Artist Suleiman.
Now, let me talk about the Libyan Baklawa. It's a sweet treat that's practically a work of art, showcasing layers of goodness. Each bite feels like a celebration of taste and tradition. It's so authentic; you can tell they put heart and soul into making it. Whether you try the Almond or the Pistachio one, this really trumps any other type of Baklava you’ve ever tried.
And then there's the Turkish coffee made on hot sand. It's not just a drink; it's an experience steeped in Middle Eastern and Libyan culture. The rich aroma and the traditional preparation method add a special touch that you won't find just anywhere.
Now, let's switch gears to the savory side. The tuna and cheese crepes are a revelation. Perfectly savory with a hint of cheese oozing out along with the fiery taste of Tunisian Harissa– it's a breakfast dream come true, blending the best of Arabic and Libyan flavors. Pair that with a cup of strong Arabic coffee or tea , and you've got yourself a winning combo. If you want to explore more, then consider trying the Glaya Sandwich ( meat lovers) which is the most delicious and tender steak stir-fry done Libyan style.
The coffee is something else, it’s just like walking into a cafe in Italy or Libya where you can ask for it to be done in a precise way and they get it right every time especially Omar. Fantastic stuff!
Honestly, Tripolitania Cafe has nailed the Arabic and Libyan breakfast game. It's like a mini-vacation for your taste buds every time you sit down to enjoy a meal there. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the delicious world of Arabic and Libyan...

Old one star review:Had an unfortunate experience today January 4th around 3.50 pm at this cafe. We wanted to take an after lunch coffee after eating at the bedouin. We walked up to the counter to order and the employee at this time did not even looked up at us or greeted us eventhough he was standing near to the counter. We stood there and continue to tell him what we want to order. He did not say anything but we talked loudly so we assume he heard.
So we went to sit and after waiting a while the employee didn’t come with our drinks and did not even bother to check on us. He continue to talked with another employee and then went inside. Then he came out with a broom, which confirmed to us that he is not going to make our orders. After this we decided that its not worth it to be spending our money somewhere where customers are not appreciated, acknowledge and not tended to. Before we left we, my husband confronted the employee and he simply said to him, “what did you order? Cappucino? “. That is just not acceptable. Basically he did hear us and knew we were there but he decideds to ignore us. He should’ve stopped what he is doing and take the order first. This employee definitely needed proper training because that is not how you treat a customer. They should hire a more competent person who could multitask or even prioritise which task should be done first. I understand if he didn’t hear us if he was standing far away, but this guy was right in front of us, and he chose to ignore us while making drinks.
The order system means we have to stand on the counter to order. Did he expected us to stand there and wait until he was done serving the other customer to order? That would take a long time because he took like 10 mins to even finish the other customers order. The worst thing is He did not even look up to say anything or acknowledge us when we were standing in front of the order counter. If we weren’t the same race, we would think that it was a...
Read moreI visited Tripolitania Coffee Shop two years ago and had a good experience, but coming back today was a huge disappointment. The place has really gone downhill.
The shop was dirty — every table was piled with used dishes, and we had to sit at a dirty table for over 15 minutes with no one coming to clean it. The display case looked unappealing, filled with empty cake boards left behind because cakes are served without proper boards.
The cakes looked like something straight out of the 1990s — outdated, heavy, and lacking any sense of modern presentation. In 2025, customers expect freshness and quality, not artificial shortcuts. The pistachio cake, for example, was made with green food coloring and artificial flavoring, with no trace of real pistachio for $9.99 plus Tax
Service was just as disappointing. There were 4 staff members, and it seemed like 2 of them were managers — yet all of them sat on their phones, paying no attention to the shop. Even though it wasn’t busy, service was painfully slow. The Turkish coffee we ordered was weak and watery, and the Mille-feuille had no resemblance to the authentic French pastry.
Overall, it was a very poor experience, and I won’t...
