UPDATE - We went there with a bunch of friends yesterday night and it was wonderful! SHUBHAM was our server and she was just so wonderful! We were 10 and even though we were a lot, she managed to have a conversation with all of us about our choices which we loved! When the food arrived for dinner, sorry I forgot to take pictures because all the meals looked fantastic and tasted great! So we ate it before we remembered to take pictures. This is our 4th time there and we love it! I only uploaded 1 little clip of the awesommmeee whiskey that they currently have! Oh it was delicious! Also I loooove that they currently have a very talented singer there in the restaurant singing soft Jazz. Her voice is just so wonderful and soothing to listen to, while we eat! It's located right next to the beautiful Prince Arthur Landing which has such a beautiful view because of the long windows in the restaurant. Just a beautiful view as we eat. Also all the meals were 10/10 and portions were delightful as well. Our waiter was fantastic. My strawberry mojito was great as well.

Food - I ordered the vegan salad with tofu. Granted it looked really beautiful the way it was presented and it tasted OK. However, the tofu was cold and there was far too much oil and too much salt. My friend ordered the flatbread and he said it was only OK as well. Service - It took almost an hour for us to get our food. Not ideal. Ambiance - It does look pretty here. It has a nice view of the bay. The restaurant is located inside of a hotel. I think the ambience is probably the best part of this location. Bathrooms - The bathrooms are located around the corner, part of the main lobby of the hotel. They are clean and well kept. Other - we came here on the night of the Stanley Cup finals. They did have the game on the screens however there was no sound. We asked for the sound to be turned on and they mentioned that the sound is wired so that you can only hear it in the hallway behind the restaurant, the girl even laughed when she told me that. Definitely not an ideal place to go if you’re looking to watch a sporting event.

We were excited to check this place out. I ordered the nachos and my wife ordered the north shore salad. The nachos were delicious. My wife and I both really enjoyed them. My wife enjoyed the salad, but we both thought it would be much better with mixed greens instead of iceberg lettuce. But that's nit picking a little bit. There was way too much salad dressing on it. Perhaps offer it on the side. For the mains, I had the crispy chicken sandwich and my wife had the hamburger. Again, they both had way too much sauce to the point where they ruined both sandwiches. Just dripping and making a mess. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had to wait a couple of times to get her attention, but she was quite busy so I totally get it. They had live Jazz music which I'm sure can be nice, but we found it a little loud, that is probably more of a personal preference thing. I doubt we would go back, there are definitely better restaurants to choose from.

Six of us had dinner at Anchor and Ore on Saturday evening. I honestly don't like leaving negative reviews for local businesses but sometimes the truth needs to be told. The only good thing was that the restaurant has a great view and good atmosphere. Unfortunately the food quality did not match the ambiance. We started our evening with a few drinks and two appetizers; chicken wings and steak bites. The chicken wings were are 3/10. Nothing special. They were deep fried and then tossed in a blueberry bbq sauce. The sauce was cold and did not mix well with wings. The sauce tasted like Busters Blueberry BBQ sauce that we can buy at grocery store. The steak bites were very bland and were covered in a sauce that tasted like it came out of a jar. One of our main courses was seared tuna. It tasted aweful and may have been on the verge of going bad or frozen. (FYI we did get this taken off our bill). The other main course was salmon that was a 5/10 and a bit overcooked. You can easily make much better salmon at home. Not what you would expect at a Delta dining room. The last was the fish and chips. The fries were frozen crinkle cut. Again, not what I expect for a high end expensive restaurant. The fish was ok. The typical frozen then deep fried. Did not taste freshly battered or home made. The presentations and how the meals were served looked very classy and high end unfortunately the quality of the meals did not match up. The service was ok. Nothing special but nothing bad. Overall, this was not a good dining experience. The food is very sub par. You are paying very top price for very low quality canned or frozen dinners. There are several restaurants within walking distance to the Anchor and Ore that are much much better. Please don't waste your money. Unfortunately, this restaurant needs a...

Went to the Sunday Brunch Buffet quick tip: make a reservation ahead of time so you get a seat like we did! its popular but didn't feel cramped where we were seated "thumbs up" Buffet Food was delicious and replenished quickly the breakfast items were great and the lunch items were great too...the roasted cauliflower salad was sooo good! Kory and her staff were Great!! They were accommodating for children and us needing a high chair, our waitress was great and made sure we had everything we needed! Kory added a special touch to breakfast for our daughter it was so kind of her! Another nice surprise too, there was a craft show going on in the conference area that we walked through after brunch..And last but not least THE VIEW from the restaurant is beautiful! wall to wall windows throughout overlooking the marina and lake superior :) We will be back! We were also at this restaurant 2 years ago for a staff Christmas party and the service and food was great back then too! sometimes you see restaurants go downhill after a couple years of operations, NOT Anchor and Ore everything is still wondeful and delicious!! I'll say it again we will be back!! Thank You Kory and the Anchor...

The food was very good, but it is very pricey. The waitresses are really great, fast and wonderful too. I did notice and detect a serious case of honeypotting when I first ate there. I was asked while I was paying in a flirty manner how my day is going and what my plans are. It was a nice conversation and it felt really nice until... I went to eat there again the next day and the next waitress who served me had the exact same script when I was getting ready to pay for my meal. o_O I must applaud the trainer though because they really got me good the first time. That's some neat trick.

Honeypot defined: a person or thing that acts as a lure or decoy in a trap, scam, or scheme.

So be aware of that.

The dessert menu is horrendous. Everything is $14 and the pictures don't do them justice. They should keep it simple with some pie slices, cake and ice cream.

Overall, the food is amazing, scenery extraordinary and staff friendly.

I would've given it a full 5 stars if not for the honeypotting and pricey food.

P.S I know you may say they were being nice, but I want people to be nice to me because they want to. Not because they're following a script hoping for a good...
