Was on my way home from skiing on a Sunday evening. Wanted Thai food but the place I was recommended/would typically go (Thai Kitchen) isnât open on Sundayâs. Unfortunately, this place was.
Order pad thai over the phone for pickup. At $22.50, itâs more expensive than Thai Kitchen by quite a bit but my options are limited and Iâm hungry.
Pick it up, get home and open the box to find what is essentially a regular stir fry with about a pound of bell peppers and onion on top, and some cashews, plus the tofu and noodles.
Call the restaurant to let them know my ordersâ wrong, and they inform me that itâs âtheir take on a pad thaiâ. âŚwhat??
No bean sprouts, no peanuts, no scrambled egg, and their âpad thai sauceâ just tastes like somehow worse VH sauce from the store. The noodles are congealed at the bottom, with half of them not having any sauce at all. What it boils down to is that itâs not pad thai, it has none of the components that would make it pad thai. At best, itâs a poorly done regular stir fry.
The rep, who was rude the whole time, tells me that it is pad thai and that just because I donât like it doesnât mean itâs not pad thai. He said theyâve changed all these components for âallergy purposesâ.
I tell him none of this is on their website, nor in the menu, and they canât just change every part of a dish and call it the same thing.
I ask for a refund, and tell them that this isnât what I ordered. Iâll waste my time/money, bring it back, and go somewhere else, or they can make an actual pad thai.
He refuses telling me they donât do refunds, and that not liking it isnât a valid reason anyway. I tell him that beyond not liking it; itâs not what I ordered. We do a little more back and forth before he says something like. Iâm not going to change my mind, and you wonât be getting a refund or another meal, so thereâs no point to continuing this conversation.
At this point the conversation ends.
I donât typically leave reviews, but the terrible customer service from this place convinced me otherwise. Especially when there are so many quality alternatives.
Honestly, Thai Express does a better pad thai at half the cost. Thai Kitchen does an amazing pad thai at slightly more than half the cost. With the multitude of other options, I really canât understand why anyone would go here.

When we came 20 minutes later, only one order was ready. he told us bluntly to wait outside. I think they stapled the orders together and only did the top one. We waited outside for 25 minutes while my friend's order was in the car with us and we saw numerous orders leave. We finally got my order, as I say, 25 minutes later and he just handed it to me and walked away. No sorry for the wait or anything. This fellow needs to learn some manners and get a personality. Very unprofessional and though it's pretty good food, we'll have to see if we ever go back. Some things you can't get past and this rudeness and lack of respect for their customers may be be one of them. He would have got 0 stars if it...
Read moreI recently visited Asian and had a fantastic experience! I ordered the beef and mixed green combo along with their Bon Bons, and I have to say, the Bon Bons were absolutely delicious â crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The beef and mixed greens were fresh and well-seasoned, making for a satisfying and balanced meal.
On top of the great food, the customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure that everything was to my liking throughout the meal. The atmosphere in the restaurant was comfortable and welcoming, which made the dining experience even better.
If youâre looking for a place with authentic asian food and outstanding service, I highly recommend Asian. Iâll definitely be back for more of those...
