My wife and I were really feeling like some good local cuisine tonight and decided to go for the Margerita pizza, Italian sausage pizza and the meatballs. Pizzas were cold on pickup, boxes were left on the counter open even though I received an order is ready for pickup notification. Holding the 2 pizzas and the meatballs which weighed about a 1/4 pound should have been the second clue for what was about to come. I love supporting local and have ordered from here last year but c'mon, can't blame Covid or inflation on this one. We received 2 Individual sized pizzas 24 each and 4 small flavorless pork meatballs the size of a golf ball with 3 very thinly cut pieces of what was supposed to be foccacia, $17...people, that is $4.25 each...insane I expected baseball size like any other italian restaurant ever. Lets face it though, if the food tastes great, price really doesn't matter as much. We'll, lets just say there is more flavor in a meal prepared by Guisseppe's in the superstore freezer section. Grand total waz $75 buckaroos!!!. I get it....people love this place, for them the atmosphere kindles joy and im sure they "know the owners" and talk it up in one caliber or another. Well, sad to say but I'll take my 75 dollars elsewhere for more than a flavorless kids meal next time. The quality has gone down so much in the last year that this will be our last visit. Hopefully with improvement and fair pricing, consumers other than the elite can enjoy.

had the pleasure of dining at Nook, an Italian restaurant, and was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a rustic charm that added to the authentic Italian feel. The menu offered a wide range of traditional dishes, all of which were expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The standout dish of the evening was the pizza , which was cooked perfect and tossed in a rich, flavorful sauce. The portion sizes were generous, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The service was also top-notch, with the waitstaff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, I would highly recommend Nook to anyone in search of an authentic Italian dining experience. The combination of delicious food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service make it a standout destination.

I went here by myself and there was not a lot of options under the $14 price if your one person not to bad if you are 2 and want to split their pizza which was decently priced between $18-20. The pizza was quite good cudos to the cook. My issue with it was although the staff was friendly they seemed to ignore you if you were by yourself. After I had finished my pizza it took them almost a whole 20mins before they came and checked if I wanted a box or my bill. Besides a long list of wines they also didn't seem to know a whole lot about anything else on their bar shelf. I'm not from Thunderbay but if I come back I would have a hard time spending my money here again. The only way I would if I came as a group or just for the food. The pictures are of their Margarita Pizza simple but very tasty.

Completely unwelcoming experience.

Came in for a drink at the bar at 7:45 on a Saturday night. Waited at the host stand as it asks guests to wait to be seated. It was full but servers passed by me several times without even looking at me - and it's hard to miss someone standing at the door of this small restaurant. Without acknowledgment or greeting for some time, I made my way to the bar to seat myself to wait for a friend. Still no greeting after about 5 minutes while there were about 4 people who were working behind the bar directly in front of me doing various tasks. My friend arrived and still no acknowledgement. I understand that they may have been completing other orders but we sat inches away from staff with no greeting, no acknowledgement, no eye contact and no indication that they were open to serving us. We sourced our own cocktail menu. We weren't expecting immediate service but at MINIMUM a "hi! i'm just finishing up a couple orders but here's our drink menu" kind of thing ought ti have been said. Only once we got up from our seats and started to put on our coats did one of the guys behind the bar say, "is there a problem?". Yes, "Is there a problem?" was the first sentence spoken to us.

It was clear they did not want new customers near 8 pm. ALL staff ignored us and were unwelcoming. Maybe they thought we wanted a full meal and would be there a while. Had they asked, they would have learned we didn't want to impose on their regular closing time (9 pm) and only wanted to come in for a half an hour for and drink.

Plus, although the open kitchen is nice, the scent it deposits into your clothing is not.

We left and went to Tomlin where the service was warm...

I made a reservation for Thursday evening at 4:30pm for 6. I made the res early as I knew it was grad in Thunder Bay and we didn't want to be there for peak service. We ordered at 4:40, a round of drinks and mains, no apps. Our server promptly disappeared. About 25 minutes later two of the six meals came out, a lukewarm pizza and a salad. The two folks who received their meals patiently waited for the other four mains to arrive but after about 7 minutes we insisted they eat. After 20 minutes without the other four arriving, we requested to see the manager and asked what had happened. She insisted the remaining four meals had been put in and that there was an error at shift change at 4:30, hence our disappearing server. We then sat and watched 6 pizzas and and 7 servings of pasta go out before the remaining four meals arrived, an astounding hour and 40 minutes after ordering.

The manager apologized profusely and offered to comp our meals but when the bill arrived, they explained it was grad and they were busy so they would comp 50% of our meals and a round of drinks. It was absolutely a disgrace. Did I mention it was my graduation?

Two hours for a main with an explanation of it, "we're busy". We...
