石磨糖水铺 HEY JUICE — Restaurant in Toronto

Came in today around 4pm to get a bubble tea. The (owner?) or worker there didn’t acknowledge me until I was the first to say hi. She didn’t say anything afterwards or told me to give her a min or whatever time she needed to assist me. But instead, she was too busy making two drinks and waited around 5 mins for her to ask me what I wanted.

The original milk tea with pearl Is not made to order like most bubble tea shops. This one is ALREADY made and put into the fridge. she just took it out of the fridge and poured in it the cup afterward and added ice.

The drink itself- overly sweet. Perhaps due to the tapioca and sugar level? But I never had a milk this sweet before, almost like I drank a whole cup of sugar.

I also asked for the bubble waffle but she told me she’s not making any today.

I decide to come here today cause I live close and read good reviews. But honestly, I don’t think I’ll be back… disappointed in the service...

I usually shop nextdoor at my local grocery store Foody so I wanted to get a few cool refreshing drinks. I ordered the mixed fruit cubes and green tea and also mango with coconut milk and sago. Maybe it was an off day for them or not but both drinks could have been much better. The mixed fruit cube was so little, 2 slices of water melon, a a few passion fruit seeds, a slice of lime and a few cubes of mango (look at photo). The mango with coconut milk, the sago was a bit in the raw side, it was kinda eating a chewy tapioca pearls. I know I had to wait for them to boil a batch, over 10+ minutes but, they should have been fully cooked. Maybe I will try another time to see if it was really...

Been here a couple times and so far what I have had I really enjoyed.

The prices were reasonable for the size and the tea had a nice flavour. I also liked the brown sugar jelly as it gave a nice addition to my drink.

The service was as usual for an asian spot. Nothing major to say about it and always got my drinks fairly quickly too. This is also a no frills kinda shop. There isn’t much aesthetic to the place.

Parking in the plaza can be quite busy as you get near the businesses but you can find parking easier as you get closer to the...
